  1. Like I said, other companies have tried and failed (3M and Dow) and Tesla/Solar City basically does no solar work on Long Island anymore. I large ground mount on your property is the answer
  2. LOL I am absolutely saving $100/mo, my $260 PSEG bill was replaced by $160 loan=$100 month in savings. My equipment is warrantied 25 years against breaks and FYI panels don't break, inverters do they are also warrantied 25 years. My roof was 2 years old and I won't need to touch my roof for 30 years. Only one thing here looks stupid.
  3. 20 year contract if you rent solar, no contract if you own and at a minimum I would rather sink equity into my home to own a power plant than pay PSEG. I save about $100 month and I own and in 7 years when I am done paying the loan I will have NO bill, you will be paying PSEG until you're dead.
  4. Completely agree, 1 fish UNDER 28". The rest of the people that break the rules will do what they want regardless of any reg
  5. If you live in the Northeast you will be waiting ALONG time. Problem for that is our weather and here on Long Island State setback rules. That's like saying I am not buying an Iphone or cell phone for that fact because I hear an Iphone 31 is coming. Larger bigger companies have already tried and failed (3M and Dow). Plus Telsa barely does any solar work anymore. Solar City failed
  6. Panels are engineered for winds of 135 mph, so if we have that we will have other worries. Also sheathing doesn't come in to play as the racking is mounted into the rafters. Yes, older homes that have true wood and set 24" OC may need some structural support (knee wall). Yes subsidies are needed, just wish we weren't phasing them out as Big Oil still is subsidized by the 10's of billions.
  7. Thanks, did some homework and that one looks to fit the bill
  8. How long does that compressor take on each tire that was dropped to 15 ibs? Thanks
  9. Yes, the one on the bottom sent excess power elsewhere. That wasn't an article??? It's a companies website that does the work? I am in the solar industry and it's the only reason I chimed in. Facts matter
  10. Not sure why the hyperbole but "none"? https://www.blueoakenergy.com/industries/industrial-solar-panels Plenty of industrial buildings have enough rooftop
  11. Hey all, new to site as member but have been reading for years. Does anyone have advice for a compressor for the truck? I fish some areas with no air towers or broken at best, would love to have air with me at all times, any help appreciated.
  12. Residential solar is cheaper than buying from PSEG bottom line
