  1. Hard work pays off. Study your target species and learn everything you can about it. Fish longer and harder than everyone else and eventually you will learn a few things. Now that doesn’t mean it’s a trick as nothing works 100% of the time.
  2. I love My Fenwick Inshore FINC 7’-9” 1220XF. I would love another one. I would love the 8-3” as well. If you ever want to sell it, let me know.
  3. A photo of a 50” Snook on a tape will get you $1,000 over in the Snook Club. So far no winners have collected.
  4. Very nice looking jigs. I wish I could do that.
  5. In Flamingo, we like to use a shrimp tipped jig for snook and reds. If unsure of a spot put on a whole shrimp and a Cajun Thunder with a hookup jig head. Use a 30 pound test leader size it for the water depth. If that doesn’t work after 5-10 minutes move on. The colder it gets the deeper back they go.
  6. It’s nice to hear the west coast is recovering. I was shocked when the red tide invaded the east coast this year. Fortunately it was short lived for us. But I did see a large dead Goliath that I think died from it under The Wabasso bridge. I believe it’s cleared up now over here.
  7. I think that’s a pompano. Nice one too.
