  1. After fishing with it in high winds, I didn't get any wind knots and the line set pretty well. Looks all good now.
  2. I added one shim and it was definitely heavy toward the bottom after adding it so I took it off because it looks better this way but still not perfect. Maybe I put it on wrong?
  3. this is a daiwa fuego lt 2500 spooled with 10 lb braid with no added washers.
  4. Like the title states, what is the difference in the Daiwa Fuego LT and Exceler LT? I know the fuego is magsealed but is that the only difference?
  5. I want a 2500 size reel and the slammer does not come in a 2500.
  6. I have a BG 4000 and it has gotten very rough which is why I want a reel with sealing or in the fuego, magsealed.
  7. I think the back bay is out of my price range I'm looking for a $100-120 reel. The spinfisher 2500 is $120 on amazon but the one I got is defective. The fuego is $80 and I was wondering if I should get another spinfisher or fuego.
  8. I am using a St Croix Triumph 7' M rod and I will be targeting snook, redfish, seatrout, small jacks, bass and other inshore fish I'd happen to hook into
  9. I know there is a decent price difference between these two reels but after receiving a defective Penn Spinfisher VI 2500 I am returning it. I have wondered if I should shoot for another Spinfisher or get a Daiwa Fuego LT 2500 instead. Does anyone have experience with both of these reel? I will be using it for saltwater and freshwater applications.
  10. Is the warranty obsolete if the reel has been spooled with line?
  11. It is about 2.5 spins before stopping and the sound is just a rough sound as if there was sand in the gear or something but its brand new.
  12. I have a brand new Penn Spinfisher VI 2500 that feels rough on retrieval. I bought it off amazon and spooled it with 10 lb braid. It is very loud when reeling and I am wondering if it is defective or not.
  13. Alright I'll have to tear it apart and see if I can do anything then. I have gotten a few other reels off amazon but this is the first time I've had a problem. Thanks for the info.
  14. The reel is brand new, I have only caught a few pompano off a jetty and it was rough out of the box. I fished it thinking it would get better once the grease sets in but it hasn't changed. Do you think it's defective then? I got it from amazon.
  15. I got a new Penn Spinfisher VI 2500 and the line retrieval feels rough but I am not sure if this is a problem or not. Has anyone else's spinfisher vi felt rough out of the box?
