  1. My favorite rod for many years as well used with an older Sustain 4000
  2. LoL. Glimpse of the future? Still at the Prius and Kayak stage but already tired of lifting it up.
  3. Agree with Ravens42988. Actually use the MSS90MM2 with BG4000 and Slammer II 4500 and both feel pretty good on the rod
  4. Having trouble with the PDF, can someone reload? Thanks!
  5. I thought it was an asian thing. Along with the glass over every piece of wood furniture.
  6. Agree with Reed422. I lost two fair size fish this weekend when my schoolie outfit was overpowered.
  7. Very happy with the 3/4 to 4 Mojo as well. Have used it with a Penn Slammer 3 4500 and if feels pretty comfortable throwing 2 oz plugs ( hasn't really tried to throw anything heavier).
  8. salted for two days and then steamed with ginger and scallion
  9. 4k works nicely for a mojo 9 ft and 300 yards of 30 lb braid
  10. The spare tip arrived today via fedex after only ordering last Wednesday night. It came in a really nice 7 ft heavy duty reusable tube with plastic inserts at the ends and the tip looked like new and not a blem. The only difference is that there is no serial number printed on it. Absolutely first class how St Croix backs up their product. Now to check if they actually sell $35 replacement tips for my other two st croix rods....
  11. Folks, Thanks for the feedback. I ordered a backup MM2 tip as I am clumsy at times climbing over rocks and I didn't want to be held back from opportunities because I was afraid of damaging the rod.
  12. At their website, it looks like they stock xtra tips and ship directly with no broken rod return or deductable. I have seen previous SOL postings that suggest that you can get two different type tips for the longer rods to provide flexibility. My question is more of whether there is a benefit to getting the faster tip.
