  1. There's some fine fly fishing on Lewis Creek, The New Haven, Otter Creek and the White River in Addison County an hour south of Burlington.
  2. RedGreen, don't you have any Trout Unlimited chapters in your area? My uncle was in north-central PA and I think he was a member of one. Or are you just pining for saltwater?
  3. One of my most memorable fish was not a biggest. Fishing a small, tight tributary, I painstakingly eased into position between overhanging branches to execute a perfect bow-and-arrow cast up against the opposite bank under the trunk of a tree. One twitch of the grey ghost streamer and he hit. I brought to net a 12" muscular native brookie exploding with color. He was as big as a fish could get in that little stream, and right where he should have been. Before letting him slip away, he etched his form and his fight in my memory.
  4. Yeah apparently. It even has a wiki page. Just found this on it: "Sean Payton, head coach of the New Orleans Saints of the NFL is well known for requesting Juicy Fruit in the middle of games."
  5. Does anyone have experience with a Green Ass McGee fly? My uncle from central PA sent me some of his stuff a year before he passed away. In one of the fly wallets were some variations of this fly. Nobody in my TU group could ID it. I finally found it somewhere on the web. He fished Pine Creek a lot.

  7. If anyone is still looking at this thread, my neighbor used to use Juicy Fruit chewing gum. Seriously, he swore by it. Said they ate it and it did something to their digestive system. I never had a mole or vole to try it out on.
  8. Well you had a great day. Was that a woolly bugger in the net?
  9. Right. Funny, I've caught plenty of landlocks in NY, VT and NH but never really fished for them in MA. May have to rectify that.
  10. Nice fish man! Where the heck was that?
  11. 6 Million fraudulent votes. But somehow nobody, including countless republican governors, republican state attorney generals and republican legislatures, can catch and prosecute any of them. Amazing. And climate change is a conspiracy. The holocaust is a hoax. Obama is a muslim non-american. Trump did have the largest inauguration crowd in history. The moon landing was done in a studio. 9/11 was a government job. I get it.
  12. The Washington Times is one of the least credible newspapers in the country. But that aside, the total of all the alleged frauds mentioned in that excessive post don't amount to a drop in any election bucket. In contrast, voter disenfranchisement totals in the thousands.
  13. There have been over a dozen investigations and studies into claims of voter fraud. Trump himself initiated a Voter Fraud Task force headed by vice president Mike Pence and conservative Kris Kobach of Kansas (the pioneer of many of the current voter suppression methods). What did they find? Nothing. So they quietly disbanded the task force. The non-partisan Brenan Center for Justice has a good summary of the issue which is worth reading. https://www.brennancenter.org/analysis/debunking-voter-fraud-myth - If voter fraud were as vast as some like to claim, it certainly would have been verified by now. But fug-it, let's go fishing!
  14. 4 cases of confirmed voter fraud in the 2016 election. 4. If it's going on like you say, then prove it.
