  10. I currently have a St Croix Avid Salmon Steelhead Rod, great rod. I do light weight shoreline casting, distance and sensitivity on bites and structures. Seems they won't have something similar, due to the Covid. Back ordered too October. Any other recommendations?
  11. Looking for 1 Reel Conventional Combo, to use bottom fish rigs/Sabiki. Meaning catch small live bait, re tie and drop some live bait to handle some Tropic Reef Fish. Amberjack, Snapper, GT etc... Around 100ft-300ft of water. Possibly even jigging or light tackle trolling. My buddy has a small boat, so space is limited. Need 1 Versatile Setup. Also a Rod as well, sensitive and great back bone. Previous i had new Torium 20, drags went out quick. Looking something a little more beefier Recommendations! Mahalo from Hawaii!
  12. Thanks for all the feedback. Are the penn battalion rods, are easy to brake the tip of the rod? Just word of mouth I been hearing.
  13. I like using spinning outfits. I'm not good casting conventional. My budget rod n reel. Keep it under $400.
  14. Throwing chunks on 4oz-8oz Lead, distance on beach breaks. Nice soft tip, to feel the any bait stealers. Any suggestions, that wont break the bank and size spinning reel to go with it. Thanks in advance!
  15. I fish in sandy areas, beach breaks etc... Looking for a bait/dunk setup. Casting behind the wave breaks. 2oz-6oz Diamond Lead. Depends on the current, sand bars. Average 20yards-60yards Out. I'm all open to a rod/reel combo suggestions. That will stand sand/saltwater etc... I was looking at the Ultegra, but not very beach sand friendly.
  16. 2oz-5oz Lures. Gt ice cream, stick baits, orca etc... Gt and other type of fish 70-100yards casting distance Sand/Rock areas
  17. Thanks for the feedback. Did more research. Guess the rods i choose was all boat outfit rods. Which rod? Cape Cod II 10' Cape Cod II Heavy 10' Yellow Tail Special 10' The 10'6 is $145 more. But those 3 rods i listed fits in my budget range. Be using 50-65 braid.
  18. I'm on Kauai. The black hole rod is out of my budget. I've narrowed these down, based on the search i did. That fits on my budget Ghost Hunter 150 Phenix Megalodon Popping MPX-S880MH Spinning Rod OceanXtreme Popping Rod Probably load the reel 50-65 braid. Also i heard of the SPX rods as well. This is all new to me.
  19. Want to give it a try. Inshore Popping/Stickbait Set up. Inshore rocky/beach area (not on a boat). I live in HI, mostly targeting GT etc... I narrowed it down to a Salitga 5500H (always wanted one & as well of alan hawk review). Just looking for a ideal rod. Not to much local shops carry high end rods/reels. Other forum, someone mention a Ghost Hunter 150g Rod. Or any other suggestions. I got Two 10000SW Saragosa, i used them for jigging Aloha Ryan *
