  7. Just finished adding the trebles and tail flag so it’s time for another swim
  8. I appreciate all of the feedback from everyone! As for weighting/swimming, I basically just guesstimated where to put it. I placed two weights in the front half of the plug near the front treble. When I swam it I just crawled it along the surface and it kept a nose down action with the tail slapping on the water making a really nice v wake (which looked good enough to me) I’ll try to see if I can upload a video somehow. And gliders are something I would definitely like to look into!
  9. Felt the need to share this as I have been lurking on this forum for some time now trying to get into plug building. I do not have a lathe (yet) but I decided to take the plunge anyways. I carve duck decoys and shorebirds, so i decided that I would first try a hand carved plug with the tools I already had at my disposal. I really wanted to make a large pike, which I'm sure isn't the easiest place to start, but I drew something up and started on this project nonetheless. Once I got it to the point of sealing, I assembled the plug and did some testing with it in a local pond. If it didn't swim the way I wanted, I would have just chalked it up as a loss and threw it in the firewood pile. However, I really liked the action so I continued on with painting (rattle can) and epoxy (envirotex lite & hang dry). Anyways here is my first finished plug, and hopefully the first of many
  10. Albright to haywire twist, never had an issue
  11. I would definitely go with the tekotas, they are great for this purpose. Just make sure you remove the wire with a rag and some WD40 after each season to avoid any corrosion issues with the spool.
  12. Thanks for posting this, unfortunately left hand retrieve won’t work for me
  13. I really didn’t care for the plastic fish grip, I feel much more confident landing a big fish with the boga than I do the plastic one. I also like to swim the bigger fish from the boat in gear and the boga makes it much easier to get a clean release
  14. Looking for a used Tranx 400 hg (right hand) or Lexa 400 tw. Thanks in advance!
  15. Any interest in the plastic ones?
  16. Back Bay Pappys Pride MX plugs All have been carried/thrown. No splits. 65$ PayPal or Venmo
  17. Sorry but I am going to have to retract my offer as something just came up that I need to re-direct my funds to.. Thank you for the consideration, GLWS!
  18. Would you consider 210 shipped to 08041?
