  1. Hey all, I hope everyone has been having a productive season. I was curious on people’s thoughts on pink colored lures. I’ve been under the impression it’s more of a Massachusetts thing, but after landing a fish on a pink sluggo, I’m starting to think it might be a viable color.

  3. Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately I never landed any fish. I must have been doing something wrong, because I was traveling along side huge schools of baitfish for miles, and not once saw a striper. Made no sense. Next time...
  4. Hi everyone, My family and I are renting a place on the Sheepscott River for the next few days. We will bring our kayaks up, but don’t know anything about the area. I know spots and specifics are prohibited, but some general advice on how to tackle this area would be great. I plan on fishing around the intersection between the sheepscott and back river, trying to find holes and structure to fish. But otherwise, I’m clueless. Any help would be great.
  5. I don't want to get location specific, but should I focus on fishing the rivers or beaches this time of year. I live in the Portland area, and am unaware as to what locations I should be targeting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I'm definitely trying to get out more this season. I think my odds decrease though that I never fish with bait, and stick to light tackle. Might have to switch over though if I want to catch fish. Thanks for the advice again.
  7. I'm new to the whole striper scene in New England, and was told to fish Race Point in June for top water action. I was wondering what the best time would be to fish ptown for this "legendary" blitzing. I was also wondering if anyone could name any good charters to use. Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely take your advice when fishing.
  9. I am fairly new to fishing in Maine. This year I went a few times, to only be skunked. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice or general productive locations in Southern Maine to fish at. I know it's very early, but I was hoping to get ahead of the game.
  10. Was it a seal?
  11. During the end of July you might want to go up to the Kennebec River. I've tried light tackle in the end of July and it's quite hard in most of Maine. If not maybe go the Trina Lyn Charter.
  12. Thanks for the advice. Didn't know fishing was that great this year. I've only caught a few around the beginning of June.
  13. Ok thanks, tell me how it goes. I'm going to probably head out there later this week.
  14. I was wondering what people were catching around the Haraseeket and Cousins? Heard reports of fish off Moshiers but that was over a week ago.
