As stated above you really aren't going to find a rod that will do both well. Casting you'll want something in the 7'6"-8' ish range. I've used a ton of different rods over the years. A jigging world ghost hunter is a good factory rod that will get the job done. If you're targeting fish to 100lbs a 150 will do or a 200 if you're thinking bigger fish. We fought a 500lb giant on a gh200 for 3 hours. If you want to step up to high end take a look at saltywater tackle race point or monster ledge popping rods. The monster ledge 250 soft tip is my favorite for throwing stickbaits and can handle whatever you might hook. Jigging rod you want something 5'-6' with some power. Crafty one customs in Rhode Island makes some excellent rods and the obx series from saltywater are excellent as well.

Some spooks

Been a long time since I fired up the lathe but built these for a trip to Panama that was canceled.

One thing people need to consider...with municipalities offering limited services and most ramps being town or state run we might not have access to ramps.

Sorry, not what I need. I have a ton of boat reels in that size.

Van Staal 200S hasn't been used in a few years. Spooled with new 50lb power pro slick. (Not discolored got wet when i was getting the dust off). Used to service it after every season. The flash highlights the scratches looks better in person and functions 100%. Comes with box and bag. $450 shipped, $425 picked up in Wareham.
