  1. If you want to go a little farther up river. I have a trip that I have taken probably a 100 times. Launch in Narrowsburgh NY. There are public launches on both the NY and PA side. About 8 miles down on the NY side is 10 mile river. Each launch has plenty of parking and descent spots launch a canoe.
  2. They can survive for a long time. As long they dont dry out or extreme temps.
  3. I have the JW Black widow 150c. Works great for up 6oz but starts to flex with an 8oz. I want to pick up the 200c Black widow soon. I like the Black Demon also. Similar feeling rod but the black widow has a longer rear which tucked nicely under my arm
  4. Dont get the smith photochromic. It sounded like a great idea when i was looking. The change is very little. I like to wear Amber colored lenses. They arent the best for super bright days but i can wear them when it is cloudy with no issues.
  5. I actually saw a sturgeon jump 3 times a couple days ago. First time i thought it was a carp. The second time it was 10 feet away from my boat. It wasnt a very large sturgeon but made my day.
  6. Certainly looks like an albino tiger oscar. People release them all the time.
  7. A couple months ago you could have easly caught glass eels in many streams. My son caught a bunch in a gatorade bottle in a small stream that drained into the Hudson.
  8. Iv been fishing jigging world black widow 150c and im loveing it. I really want to try another jogging world rod. The bronxthor. I was holding it last week and it was really hars to not buy it.
  9. They come on shore during the full moon to breed. It is probably the easiest time to catch them in numbers.
  10. They were probably using them for conch bait. The blood is worth a lot also.
  11. Nice Eyes. I really like those Sebile lipless lures
  12. I just used some thick deck paint from homedepot. It filled in crack and bad spots. Also had some sand in it for grip. I'm loving it so far.
  13. I'v had my original set for over 10 years. The only thing i had to replace was the drill. The chuck locked up and i broke it taking it apart.
