  6. What does it take for tog to move out of the shallows? Do ya think this storm would have done it?
  7. Tim you think Sunday is enough time for the ocean to clean up?
  8. So yesterday I was fishing out front on top of a pinnacle that rose to 25 feet in 45 feet of water. It Was very difficult to hold my jig on the bottom. I was pitching up stream only having a few seconds of vertical jigging every drop. in this short time I did manage to get bites and keeper size fish but It was very difficult fishing. I did anchor but current was too strong to hold bottom with my 1 ounce jig. not sure what to do in this situation? Should I use a heavier jig? 2 ounces? I am always afraid that a jig heavier then 1 ounce would be too heavy for a tog to pick up?Also I find that the hooks are too large on a jig larger then 1ounce? Any thoughts on fishing in fast current on a Hobie ?
  9. r- thanks for the great advise. I am looking forward to this weekend with my anchor. do you use a claw anchor with chain? thanks
  10. For those that kayak for tog, who thinks its a must to anchor up? if so what type of anchor do you use and your preferred method of anchoring up? Double anchor? marker buoy ? I'm new to togging and have been having frustration drifting off my marked holes and building the bite.
  11. wondering if it is useful to develop a bite using chum, frozen clam bars ? any thoughts.
  12. I usually have left over crab, just wondering how you can keep your crabs alive for the next trip? Thanks
  13. Anyone getting them around Montauk or Orient yet?!
  14. Hi Jon, its my car's factory rack/posts that is cracked. I have Thule crossbars same as you're Malone. Was wondering if I can put in a Thule TB60 Top Track Roof Mount Rack Mounting Track (60-Inches) and go over my existing factory rack or just take it off altogether?
