  1. hello out there waterweasel - any interest in a $40 bid for your sling pack?
  2. ahh - i forgot - had a burst pipe and flood and the guys working on the house moved the rod out of sight - I'll try to remember to hunt for it and send measurements
  3. i have one - 2 piece rod - I will measure guide placement and get back to you
  4. I have a Ken Abrames Salmo Sax rod that I think of as a 7wt. It is practically brand new. $250 shipped to lower 48. Can provide pic if you have serious interest.
  5. First time ever our Turkey was a foul fowl. We opened the bag and smelled a rotten turkey.
  6. NYC born and raised and raised my family here. NYC wonderful place to visit but can be overwhelming, exhausting and expensive. That said, a little planning will go a long way. I suggest you divide your visit to a midtown portion and a downtown portion. Midtown: Rockefeller Center Tree is a must. Agree avoid Times Square - there is really nothing there. Perhaps walk up through Central Park to Metropolitan Museum or Museum Natural History. For both Pay-what-you-wish admission is available only at ticket counters, where the amount you pay is up to you. Each is fantastic, Natural History may be more appealing to a young boy. Subway service to Downtown easy. #2 or 3 train on West Side (natural History Museum) or #4 or #5 train if on East Side (Met). Downtown visit Battery Park for view of Statue of Liberty, go to WTC Memorial. There are self guided walking tours of this historic district. Food - - - everything you can imagine at multiple price points. Katz's Deli on Houston Street is iconic and a true New Yawk experience. Feel free to PM me if any questions.
  7. Fire Reese and McAdoo. Try to win every game.
  8. Steve, I am looking forward to it - hope we have a chance to say hello.
  9. Steve - are you going to be at "Arts of the Angler" in Danbury, CT 11/4 & 11/5?
  10. I had 3 Riptides, 1 Everglades, 1 Freestone all originals. Sold 2 Riptides on this site as am fishing very infrequently of late. Fantastic reels!
  11. Suggest you stop in at the Bedford Sportsman in Cross River NY and see Charles or Todd. Both nice guys and very knowledgeable.
  12. For whatever it's worth, "mine" is commonly used on securities trading floors. It is considered to be 100% binding.
  13. I had to use USPS recently due to the fact that buyer is serving in USN and shipping was to an FPO address. 2 piece rod in tube shipped flawlessly for about $15 insured.
