I actually like fresh blue fish. If you freeze it feed it to the dogs! I cutout all the dark meat off before cooking. That is what holds the nasty taste . I use lemon, garlic powder or fresh garlic if i have it, tomato , onion and Adobo seasoning. putin foil and bbq -

Saturday we were outside of IBSP and I jumped in the water about 1000 yards off shore. As soon as I hit the water I practically jumped out and back on the boat. Temperature gauge said 59 degrees! I don't know about close to shore but it sure was chilly out there!

what is the 3 mile line. this is like the 4th time I have heard that phrase. I am new to ocean boating and don't know the terms. I have 30 plus years on lake Hopatcong boating but moved down the shore a couple years ago

Local24 SSP, did you see an AR240 Yamaha jet boat floating around in the middle of them? I was only a few hundred yards off shore! I ssume they were hammering bunker because they were circling something.

I am not the person with the drone but I do have iPhone video of them all around my boat from last Saturday. Video is not the greatest because there were so many we kept spinning our heads looking different directions. They were going under the boat , jumping out of the water and all around the boat . just off IBSP

do the bucktails out produce like squid strips or small baitfish? Is it just what they want that day or is there an odds on favorite?

I am sorry for the guys that walk out to the hook its a shame they cannot come up with a path or a smaller area for fisherman? I think most fishermen respect nature and would be careful. I guess Barnegat inlet will be even busier.

spot burn is an odd rule unless people are being specific. Even then if they choose to share the spot I am not sure what it hurts. Just a observation from a newbie to the forum

Sudsy, thanks for the clarification. I thought we would be welcome I don't steal spots on the beach! lol I enjoy trolling around looking at the sights and it a pole gets wacked all the better.

Boats count, don't be jealous because you are land lovers. lol I enjoy being able to get away from the crowds. I fish the same waters as surf fishermen ( women too) I run up and down the shoreline just further out than most can cast. Fished off the beach with Beach pass for years before getting a boat. Fishing is fishing enjoy it all. Main thing I like about a boat is I rarely have to fight the wind.

Ok I will throw my area into the ring. I live in Manchester, we are about 15 minutes from the beach ( and the traffic) . We went to ocean county for the cheaper taxes and houses. I do live in a 55 plus but I still work and ignore cranky old neighbors lol. We moved there because we were afraid of flooding after Sandy. The area we are in got nothing from Sandy but some high winds. I trailer my boat so I go to Sandy hook sometimes but seaside is much closer for me. We have plenty around us for food and shopping but nowhere as crowded as up north ( we were from Nutley) Anywhere over the bridge the people are nicer, taxes are lower and houses are cheaper. ( except Colts Neck or something like that0
