  1. I didn't make it, but here's mine. Not sure how it will last with the snow plow.
  2. My friend bought a Hydra Sports boat back in 2002, and just noticed a soft spot on his deck just left of the center console. He spoke with a few dealers and they said Genmar most likely will honor the warranty. He contacted Genmar and they got back to him yesterday saying they are not honoring OMC product warranties anymore b/c of the current situation. (Bankruptcy I believe.) He has a 10 year warranty on the hull and this could be a manufactures defect. When He purchased the boat NEW in 2002 they already owned OMC so we think they should honor the warranty. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.
  3. Soft Spot is the size of a CD, and the deck hasn't broken through.
  4. The dealer he purchased from in 2002 still exists, but is no longer a Hydra Sports Dealer. The hull is a 1999 leftover bought new in 2002. I mentioned the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs to him I think he will be taking those steps. Talking with people I work with, they claim to have fast responses from both groups.

  6. Sedge Man, when you get back this week, hit me with the details. Thanks.
  7. Excellent, thank you. Look forward to talking with you.
  8. Sure, thank you! Can you tell me what brand it is?

  10. I'm sure it's bad timing, figured I ask for the heck of it. I'll probably be lending him mine again this year. Thanks for the bump
  11. I caught this show last night with 6 friends in Asbury Park's Convention Hall Paramount Theater. The performance was Unbelievable!!!! I was blown away. Hats off to this band, they are an amazing group of musicians and singers. I know they are a tribute and not the real thing, but let me tell you...If you're a Pink Floyd Fan, you have to see this show. They are still around in neighboring states so I figured I'm mention it. I hadn't been in the Paramount Theater since I was a kid, and I can't believe how amazing the sound is in there. Top Quality. The Count Basie could never come close. I've been in the Basie a lot over the past 5 years. One of the best shows I've seen a few times there was Buddy Guy; He blew the doors off the place. The Paramount was just such a surprise to me. Really outstanding sound system. Maybe it was just this performance and the speakers and sound board travels with the group. I don't know, but it was incredible. Crystal Clear and shook the stuff out of you. Best $23 I spent in a long time!
  12. I've seen Roger Waters twice in the past 10 years. Really Awesome Shows. Last night was just a jaw dropper. I really enjoyed it. I went in with zero expectations, because I didn't know anything about this band. They are incredible. I'm glad someone else on SOL got to see them.
  13. whatever. I reported what my FF displayed. 59.7 and 60 is what I remember seeing. How did the 3 other boats make out yesterday?
  14. Decided to take the boat out yesterday and have a look around. Water was flat, 60degrees. I caught the last 2.5hrs of incoming tide; the sonar was loaded with fish and bait so I started looking around for the birds. They were one here or there, but no real group efforts. Started fishing near Asbury, maybe 1.5miles out and ended up maybe 3miles out. Large fish were swirling on the surface, it looked just like bass, but it was gator sided blues. Had them from 8:30 - 3pm. Too many to count, they were puking up loads of sand eels. Fished the bottom and mid column of water where all the marks were, but it didn't matter. Caught them at every depth and on the surface. When the tide went slack it died for maybe 30 mins, then right back on for the outgoing tide. water was pretty clean. I expected it to be much worse. Beaches are torn up though. Looked pretty bad from where I was riding home along the beach. It was a beautiful day on the water, and since I had a friend from work with me for the first time, it made it even better. He was really psyched to get into those bone saw sized blues. Great Day!
  15. I'm pretty sure they make universal ones that you pick out based on the depth of your tank. I've had to bend the float arm to get it right, so I'm thinking an exact replacement isn't 100% necessary. I have replaced a couple over the years. It's pretty simple. Go to a local supply marina or store and ask them. I know I have one that has a gauge on top which is nice. It's like a backup in case the dash mounted one no longer works. Be careful unscrewing yours, you don't want to strip those screw heads.
  16. I have never been to the HOB so I was wondering how good the view of the stage is in general. I'm going to see Social Distortion on Saturday, just wondering if I should be there when the doors open to get a good view. The last time I saw them with two bands in front of them they went on at 10pm, doors were at 7pm. I figured I'd go in around 8. Is it like an open floor club or is it balconies and bar stools type of place? Thanks.
  17. The Show was Amazing. Mike Ness and Social D are just top notch playing live. I had a spot right next to the sound board with no one in front of me, and it was perfect. I had a unbelievable time. I highly recommend checking them out when they come into your town. The House of Blues in AC is a great place to see a show. Thanks!
  18. Thanks Guys. Really appreciate it! I can't wait to see them again. I saw them at the Starland Ballroom and it was a great show. SD is a GREAT Live Band. I've seen them a few times over the last 5 years, and they are always super tight. I can't wait for Saturday night! Have fun in NH.
  19. WOW...that looks great! What state are you in?
  20. Got my first striper for the Fall 2009 season on friday night in the SFZ. Probably 27-28", I didn't measure it. Just happy to catch it and send it back on its way. Had a few more hits after moving a mile or so, but they felt like shad. Quick jerks on the line, but I didn't stick-em. Tide went out on us, and we packed it in. Fall is here.... Picked the fish on a clear see through mag darter. It's clear because last year the bass stripped every bit of the paint off it.
  21. I switched from a galvanized to a stainless steel cable and it's so much better. Like the others have said , no worries about wire splinters or rust or flat twisted spots. I like it a lot. Has anyone looked into the Synthetic Winch Line? I think a popular line is made by a company named Amsteel. They look pretty good. Just wondering. I've heard it's stronger then wire, and way more forgiving.
  22. Anyone have one they want to part with? Maybe around $170
  23. I used a hair dryer to warm up the decals on my hull, then peeled them off by hand. I used WD-40 to remove any left over sticky stuff, then washed and waxed the hull. My decals were about 8 years old at the time. Good luck.
  24. Anyone ever notice a squeel or shaking with noise when you lower your E-TEC. It seems to be intermittent for me, and always occurs about 1-3 inches before the engine hits the pistons. I have fully charged 1000CCA Marine Batteries and I don't think it's electrical. It happens when I use either the throttle tilt/trim or the engine tilt/trim switch. I've had the dealer work on it 5 times in the past 3 years. BRP has swapped the tilt/trim assembly out twice for a new assembly, but the problem always seems to return. The last time I had it changed, the dealer told me it didn't help, and he's seeing it on numerous E-TECs. I have a 2006 200 HP HO version. I love the motor but I wish this problem would go away. The dealer suggested I call BRP directly and say, OK, what's next? I did that today. BRP suggests I have the dealer call them directly again. The tech from BRP told me that it's a common issue they have seen, but no solid answer as to what can be done to fix it. The Tech says his personal one makes a squeel but doesn't shake at all. I noticed, if I provide a little resistence with my hand on the engine as it's lowering, it works fine. I'm doing this on the land, since I trailer my boat. Just wondering how common this is. I know a few of you guys have E-TECs, so that's why I'm asking here. This will be my 4th tilt / trim unit if the dealer gets the OK from BRP to replace it again. I'm still under warranty for another 4 years. Thanks guys.
