  13. I don't know if anyone mentioned it but it looks like that pic floating around since yesterday morning is a fake: Pictures surfaced on the 'net late last night of Osama Bin Laden's dead corpse. While many saw the resemblance in these pictures, the White House has officially said that a death photo of Osama has not been released; and what is currently circulating is not real. The fake picture was initially published by the Middle East online newspaper themedialine.org on 29 April 2009, with a warning from the editor that it was "unable to ascertain whether the photo is genuine or not". http://newsone.com/nation/newsonesta...dead-pictures/
  14. I was home sick from school. I was watching it on TV as it happened. I remember watching and it was like in slow motion as it broke apart. I was thinking this isn't good. It seemed to take the announcers a number of minutes before they confirmed it exploded and we lost the shuttle and crew
  15. It was Epic!!! I'll never forget that night.
  16. Man that wind was a chiller last night. fished 9-11:20pm. caught 2 keeper sized fluke in the wash about 4 miles apart, and 1 striper about 25". Little guy had a belly on him like Santa. All caught on plugs. My buddy caught 3 stripers, he wins...
  17. Ditto.....Yeah.....What he said.....
  18. Co-worker of mine had a second layer of shingles added about 3 weeks ago and has noticed a wavy appearance that isn't to his liking. I told him to take a few pics and I'd ask you guys what you thought. He approached his roofer and was told it's going to lay down flat with time. He did offer to cut back the 1st layer to the facia, but said it would void his warranty. To me it looks like he could have done a better job laying the shingles out to see which ones looked the best and contoured the roof line the best. I think he was in a rush. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems that way. What do you think?? Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
  19. Thank you everyone, I will pass this information onto my friend. I appreciate all your help. I wish I new about the 2 layers being not such a great idea. I had my roof done about 9 years ago by a local company that's been in business for about 30 years. They gave me a 10year warranty on labor and 25 on shingles. My roof looked good from day 1, but it started to leak near one of the valley's about 1 year later. The company came right over and tried to fix it by putting in a new liner down the valley and it didn't work. Turned out once we used a garden hose on the roof that it was actually a nail that popped about 10ft from the valley. It's been good for about 8 years now, but what a pain in the butt trying to figure that leak out, They probably came over 3-4 times before they found it. If I was to do it all again, I'd have piad the extra $1500 and have the first layer ripped off and start from scratch. Hopefully the roof I have lasts another 10 years. Only time will tell, but I'm happy with the job now. It still looks great to me. I didn't have any of the cosmetic wavy stuff like my friend has. Different companies also. Thanks again for all your insight. Jay
  20. looks like it's 1" - 1.5" over the edge. Hard to tell from the pics though
  21. I does look like that. I think he's also concerned about the gap between the two layers. Will the new layer ever conform to the 1st layer and reduce that gap.
  22. Bridgestone Dueller Revo .........Excellent Tire. Thanks SOL, I learned that here 1-2 years ago. Great traction in the rain for my pickup, no slipping around anymore.
  23. Just wanted to Thank Steven and you guys for this info. I ended up leveling out my 2001 Silverado 1500, and I couldn't be happier. I think I picked up close to 3" in the front and about 1.5" in the rear. The front was done with torsion keys, and the rear was done with 3" replacement blocks that replaced the 2" ones from GM. I went with readyLift products. An alignment was needed also. I asked the tech to set my tires at 0, without any tow in. I did this back in the fall of 2009. Great upgrade. here is a before and after pic. Thanks again
  24. I use Starting batteries that have 1060 CC amps. I charge mine on conventional, Not on deep cycle. 99% of the time I charge them on the 10amp quick charge setting. Over the winter I use the 2amp slow charge once a month while they are sitting on the workbench inside the basement. I was under the assumption that the deep cycle charge setting is for a deep cycle battery, not a conventional or starting battery.
  25. I remember my parents taking me to the Eatontown Drive in the late 70's- early 80's. I'm pretty sure we saw Star Wars, ET, Star Trek, Goonies, Raiders of the Lost Ark. I remember them usually showing a double feature, and the second movie was usually scary of had some questionable content for a grammar school kid. I was just laughing with my Dad about a movie we saw their called The Nude Bomb. LOL! I remember a showing of War of the Worlds, The Blob, and Jaws. I loved the drive in. They had a playground for us kids right under the big screen and the concession stand had the best tasting hotdogs and popcorn. I remember the hotdogs being wrapped in foil and they had a unique smell about them. Aaaah memories. Anyway....It's been knocked down and turned into single family homes and town homes for probably over 20 years now. I wish I had some pictures to remember it by. I remember many weekends we would go to dinner at the Ground Round outside the Monmouth Mall, and end up at the Eatontown drive-in. I miss both of those places.
