  1. To the OP, I’m also a big fan of jigging with only a single bucktail. My bigger fish over the last couple years have definitely come from a single bucktail and a bluefish strip.
  2. Someone doesn’t have kids..... hahahaha. I love my legend and avid too, but at least they are tied down!!!
  3. I wouldn’t of thought it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes. Like, I wasn’t catching anything and my buddy was crushing em. Swapped and finished out my limit. It obviously may be more important when the water is clearer/shallower, but if it makes a difference, why not.
  4. I tie an improved Alberto (leader to braid) and a Kreh Loop Know directly to bucktail. I’ve literally been drifting 6 feet from a buddy of mine and he was repeatedly catching more fish. The only difference was the TA clip. Leader, bucktail, etc all the same. I swapped and started to catching fish almost immediately. It may not make a difference every single time, but I know it for sure makes a difference. it’s gotta be the extra medal of the TA clip or maybe the way it falls in the water. You can always do an overhand knot. That way you have a loop so you don’t have to re-tie
  5. Anything really. Shads, xraps, tube and worm, whatever you got. There is also a bunch of videos on YT which could help.
  6. I use all the normal stuff. Also, I’ve found out first hand that tying direct makes a difference. (No clip)
  7. Do you have a fish finder? I normally troll until I find life. Ie: Get hit, see fish on the graph, see bait, fish feeding, etc. If you don’t have a FF, I’d still troll until you get to your highest probability area of finding fish, then cast. Bring a variety of plugs that match the area you are fishing. Match the hatch, plugs appropriate to the water depth you’re fishing etc. If you don’t have something to help show you the ropes, take your time and have fun with it. It’s a process. Also, if your new, please make sure you watch the weather and have safety gear with you. No fish is worth your life.
  8. Def don’t overlook safety gear (pfd, whistle, knife, radio, wet/dry suit, bilge pump, etc). I know it’s not the sexy part of kayak fishing but it’s def a necessity. Also, if you can find one, try launching with a buddy. The extra security makes a difference. Definitely leash everything down. Start small, respect and watch the WEATHER, be careful, and have fun.
  9. I did buy something at HD. I believe it’s Ortho Sedge. It killed it. A lot of the other weeds got choked out when the grass took off. Looking a lot better for sure. I snap a picture but it’s pouring lol
  10. Can any lawn guys 100% identify this stuff? And maybe how I can get rid of it before I set the yard on fire? Lol thank you
  11. Between work and trying to get some fishing in, the same way it looked two weeks ago. Lol hahaha
  12. Would preemergent help if I put it down heavy in the fall/spring?
  13. Oh geez. I hope not. If so, that’s on the builder!! Maybe from sod farm?
  14. Closer picture of blades.
  15. I appreciate all the responses. I’m gonna try a couple different options. The builder sodded in late fall last year. Roots never full set and it went dormant. I didn’t put pre emergent down fearing it would stop the sod roots from setting. I guess this is the result. I’m thinking whatever it is was in the sod when it got delivered. I’m was exited about having a nice lawn this year. I’ve got get rid of it. I’ll let you guys know how I turn out.
  16. All of it? Even next to the walkway?
  17. Possibly looking to purchase a 25” Easton, T Ball Bat. My little guy started T Ball and has opening day Saturday. Trying to get my little man a decent bat so he can hit BOMBS!!! Lol let me know what you have please. Phil
  18. Hey SOL, I have a new construction that I want to paint/seal a basement floor. I started doing some reading and read something about etching the concrete before hand. I don’t wanna mess it up. Anyone have any suggestions of a business to get a quote. I’m in Stafford, NJ. Because of the whole not promoting businesses, you can message me if that works. Thanks SOL.
  19. Hopefully I’m reading this right. You need a mask for the railed concrete section that runs along the jetty. Once you get on the rocks you’re good. And the lighthouse has been closed.
  20. Hey SOL, I was just curious about Stafford Forge, Wharton State Forest and all adjoining woodlands. Looking to get out with the son probably next year. Are all atvs off limits (Really just a go kart for the kids)? What about camping, fishing, fires? Anyone have any experiences back there. I just moved to the area in September and can literally see it from my front porch. Thanks
  21. Anybody know the deal with this place?
  22. The .223 would be awesome
  23. Def more than a couple ducks around for sure. Tried fishing briefly but no luck. I’m sure they are in there though.
  24. Thank you
