  1. Great! Thanks. Closing this as sold. Thank you everyone for your interest.
  2. Sorry, guys, I was busy yesterday and missed the notifications. YES its still available. I bought it on amazon. I just searched my orders. Its not available anymore, but here's the description: 1/32-5/8" 3JT PRO-SERIES KEYLESS DRILL CHUCK & JT3-1MT TAPER ARBOR MT1 CNC https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXSP6BP/ The picture is wrong. Amazon is going downhill lately. Edit - drill chuck is MT2. It definitely fits the arbor. I've used it many times.
  3. Bumpedy bump. Still time to grind out a few plugs. Don't forget your night fishing or 4x4 permit.
  4. Harbor Freight 10x18 lathe for sale. Includes lathe, inexpensive HF chisels and drill chuck. Its in great shape. I would consider it "excellent" shape. Nothing broken and no missing pieces. Just a little dusty. $200 obo. Local pickup only in Nassau Cty, Long Island.
  5. Deal. Send me a PM with your number and we'll arrange pickup. I'll throw in the small parts if you want. I'm going to close this for now and maybe put the lathe up separately later.
  6. Up for grabs is a Briggs & Stratton Storm Responder OHV 5500 Running Watts, 8250 Starter Watts - Model# 030430. Over 5 kw running power, 8 kw startup power. This baby will run half your house in an outage. Has 4 120V outlets and one 30A/240V outlet so you can hook it up to a transfer switch or your drier outlet (be responsible!). 7-gallon fuel tank provides up to 13 hours of run time at 50% load. Disclaimers: * I'm the second owner. I was told it was never used except to make sure it works once in a blue moon. * I have never used it for an outage - my dumb luck that PSEG did tree trimming and I haven't had an outage since. * I have splashed some gas in to make sure it runs (it does). Never plugged anything into it. I would say its "near like new" or "excellent" condition. Just a little dusty from storage. Make your wife happy next time the power goes out and she'll return the favor. Asking $500, local pickup only in Nassau Cty, Long Island.
  7. Bumpedy bump. Still plenty of time to get some plugs made.
  8. It goes right to the bottom where it belongs.
  9. Ekki (reclaimed pier decking). Hard as nails. Very tough to drill.
  10. Hey, guys. Not sure if this is against the rules - if it is, then sorry and feel free to take it down - but I have a complete kit for building plugs over at the BST, including wood. I figured it might get the right exposure here. Of course, all transaction business should be conducted on the BST thread. Great kit for a beginner. Thanks for looking.
  11. I don't have any purple heart, but I do have your avatar's girlfriend. She has a couple of bite marks but otherwise still pretty sexy.
  12. Great. Thanks. I'll give it a week before doing that.
  13. OK cool. If the sale doesn't work out, I'll start splitting stuff up. Thanks.
  14. Closing this thread. Thank you everyone for your interest.
  15. OK, that sounds good. I really prefer local pickup because I'm lazy as siht. But if it doesn't go in a few days, I'll let you know and we'll work it out. I've been in your friend's position. I can definitely empathize with the guy.
  16. As long as its for your son, no problem. And sorry I didn't bring this up when you were here for the other stuff. I didn't think about it until after you left.
  17. Free plug bag. Nomad 7 tubes + plastic tackle box. It has a few pockets and pliers holder. I was thinking about putting this up for a small price, but decided its better to be free to a GOOD HOME - meaning a starter kit for a young fisherman. Please don't contact me unless the intended recipient fits the bill. I'll even throw a few plugs in with the bag. Local pickup only in Nassau Cty, Long Island, please.
  18. No thank you. I have no use for any striper related gear where I'm going.
  19. Up for sale is a kit containing everything you need to build plugs. * Harbor Freight 10x18 lathe * Drill chuck for lathe * Harbor Freight lathe chisels - cheap but sharpenable and have served me well * Small bench grinder for sharpening chisels - works like a charm - I'll show you how to use it if you're not familiar * A box of small parts: grommets, swivels, hooks, split rings, etc - all heavy duty saltwater grade plug materials * Jig for opening cut hook eyes * Split ring pliers * Stainless lockwire in 0.062 and 0.041 - the 0.041 is nearly full because its too small for larger plugs and I just bought the wrong size (still great for smaller projects); there's probably 20'+ of the 0.062 left in the can. * Some finishing items to throw in: feathers, glitter, googly eyes and glow in the dark circles * A couple plugs for motivation - the pencil popper is very fishy indeed - caught a bunch with that guy. * Some rock maple for blanks (I can cut into blanks for you if you don't have a tablesaw) - excellent material for darters and needles * Several northern white cedar blanks (1.5" x 1.5" x 9") * A 4' length 2x10 of the same northern white cedar (I can cut into blanks for you if you don't have a tablesaw) - very, very clear except for one large knot very close to one end - this stuff is extremely buoyant, easy to turn, sands nicely, and makes excellent swimmers. Enough for 30+ blanks depending on what you're making. $300 local pickup in Nassau Cty, Long Island. With the price of lumber these days, the wood itself nearly covers the price. Plenty of time to make a bunch of plugs before the season starts and its priced to move. I'm not interested in splitting this up. This is a great setup for a beginner, or a bunch of good stuff if you want to expand your operation. The lathe is in excellent condition. I just used it to turn a battle axe handle for my 7 year old. I hate to give that up, but I can't use it where I'm going.
  20. OK great! I'll PM my number. Closing this as sold. Thank you everyone for your interest (especially the culinary interest).
