  1. Would you take $400? I live near White Plains NY and might be able to pick it up depending on how far away you live in Connecticut.
  2. WTS Shimano Cardiff Baitcaster. Model 401A LEFT HAND RETRIEVE. Gear ratio is 5.2:1 I only used this reel 2-3 times and it’s spooled with 15lb PP. Mechanically this reel is 10/10, cosmetically is 8/10. There are some scuff marks which I have tried to capture as best I could in the photos; These were caused by the rhino lining in my friends truck. This reel retails for $129, so if you are looking for a reel for Fluking or a Baitcaster for throwing jerk baits, this is a deal that won’t break the bank. $50 shipped. PayPal only. Thanks!
  3. I guess $160 shipped it is then. PM coming.
  4. Would you be willing to do $150 shipped?
  5. WTB Shimano Tranx TRX201AHG New or Used, Left Handed. That model is the only left hand 200 sized model. Prefer one in good condition if used. Please post pics and asking price. THX!
  6. It could be the wrap that is used on tennis racket handles. Probably not judging from the redish looking color, but the texture of the stuff looks like it.
  7. WTS a never used pair of Korkers over shoes. These are XL and will fit size 12-15 boots. $50 cash picked up in or near 10591 area code (Westchester County) or $60 shipped to NY/NJ/CT/RI.
  8. What are you fishing for? Do you fish from boat, or will you be wading/fishing from the rocks. I was in the same boat and bought a terrapin 9-10 based on all the research from guys on here. I was not disappointed, the reel’s weight is light for its size and the diameter facilitates fast line pickup when the hard tails turn and run at you. I haven’t dunked or waded with the reel yet and have only fished it from a boat for Albies in Cape Lookout N.C. The drag was more than enough to handle these fish and was very smooth. I am from NY and fish for striped bass, bluefish and Albies and don’t own a boat so do most of my fishing by wading. If you search around you will see posts from guys who have dunked and waded with their Coltons extensively and hadn’t had any water intrusion issues. As far as your other question goes, the only sell direct to keep the cost down. Let me know if you have any other questions .
  9. Was wondering what everyone wears for fishing in the winter on party boats and friends boats. I am looking at either a pair of Xtratuff insulated legacy boots or the Grundens Insulated Deck Boss boots. The Xtratuffs are a lil pricy at $170 but these boots are probably well worth that price. The Grundens are a lil cheaper and are probably just as well built and reliable. The insulated Grunden Deck Boss boots have a black sole and I'm not sure they are non-marking or not. Is there anything cheaper that will keep your feet warm? I fish for Cod in Jan/Feb in Rhode island and will be fishing in NJ for Blackfish late December/January. In the past I have worn non-insulated boots with wool socks and hand warmers and my feet froze. After that first trip, I wore my insulated LaCrosse muck boots and those worked fine, but I'd like to get something designed for a boat deck. Thanks in advance.
  10. WTS brand new pair of VS 7” pliers. NIB, never used. $325 shipped.
  11. It’s new in box and comes with lanyard and sheath. If Aaron doesn’t want it, I will create a separate for sale post to keep in line with the BST rules. How does that sound?
  12. I have a new pair that I will be willing to let go for $325, shipped to the lower 48. Pliers come with box, never used.
  13. Both sides are glued in and do not come out. When closed, the knobby side sits very close to the side for the dry flies.
  14. Is this still available? Would you take $250 for the reel and spool shipped?
  15. Looking for a Shimano Trevala S spinning XXL (Model Number: TVSS66XXL). They discontinued the XXL about 3 years ago and I can't find one laying around in any shops or online. I live in Westchester would be willing to meet up somewhere in CT, Northern NJ, or Long Island. Please post pics, description of condition and asking price. Thanks!
  16. I see. Thanks for the input. I wonder if this could have been designed for dry-dropper rigs? This appears to pre-date the dropper box designs.
  17. Thanks for the offer and info, but since this was gifted to my by a friends late relative I can’t part with it. Do you know what the side with the raised knobs was designed/intended for?
  18. Lol! Exactly! I could have something very unique here! Maybe some die hard still water guy is searching for this and would trade me a sweet Islander reel for it so he can store all his Chironomids!
  19. I remember the rod combo you are talking about. That’s definitely a possibility.
  20. That thought crossed my mind. Possibly a Stillwater box for a rowboat? The design is definitely unique.
