  1. Searching for a silver extended reel foot for a van staal vs150. They come off the vs150 bailed versions. Thank you
  2. Here’s a blank ive been wanting to play around with for awhile. It’s a Rainshadow Revelation 12’6” rated 2-6oz for Mexico. Enjoy for now.
  3. -11’ Black Hole SBS 2-8oz blank. -1/2” cork x 1/2” spiral spacing -alps reel seat -fuji blue and metallic silver -voodoo brite blue, Snow White x pearl white marbling pigments I did an open chevron with blue and silver. My buddy wanted marbling in the open chevron. Enjoy for now. Super tired.
  4. Another build I just done with for a friend. 9’6” black hole Suzuki with an open wrap. Idk what it’s called I just came up with it as I went along. Enjoy cause I’ve been super busy lol
  5. I don’t use tape to do my transitions. I just make sure the thread I lay down is nice and neat and lay epoxy on top til it’s flush with the hood of my seat. also I should mention that the faster the speed the cleaner the lines. Also helps if you have steady hands. mind posting a picture of your work so maybe I can see where your going wrong?
  6. Blank is a FSC Titan 1207. -shrink wrapped the butt end -size 20 fuji ergo seat -1/2” cork with 1/2” spacing, shrink wrap on top rv25,rv16,kw12m, and kw10 is my reduction. Kt10x 5 to the top. I used kw12m this time since it spaced out better with the kw10 choke. fuji 11/10 tip top Black w/silver trim is what I normally go for.
  7. Started on this build today. Blank is a 9’ fsc Raptor 3/4-4oz. Dunno if I want to keep it nice and light or make it fancy. KR concept with titanium torzite single foot laid out for my vs150 will be used. 20-10-7M-6L, kt6 to the tip is what I’m using for the Layout.
  8. I used a fuji 18 dpsd and Fuji mn 8(8)
  9. Yes I do. Just make sure you use the correct shrink tubing. By correct I mean, make sure the tubing can slide over the rear grip and shrink down to the blanks diameter when done.
  10. Built for spinning and thanks again
  11. I’m not sure what shrink tubing was used when FSC was still building rods. I know the texture wasn’t the stuff everyone’s using now. It was a smoother finish. if you want the foregrip just a tad thicker than the rear, use the thinnest cork available. Just wrap the foregrip with cork to your desired length then shrink tube on top. The result will like this.
  12. Yes make your pattern/design with cork. Then shrink wrap on top.
  13. Nice. I do torzites on all my personal rods. What is this grip you speak of? can’t wait to see your work and see it progress.
  14. Nice! I can’t wait to fish both those rods this season.
  15. Yessir. Using it mostly for Bucktails and metals.
  16. No they are alps forecast grips. They feel pretty good. I may put a coat of permagloss on the grips.
  17. Finally had some time to finish this build. Here she is outside. Enjoy
  18. The shrink wrap from grumpys is thicker. Same texture. Just a tad thicker
  19. Yes it’s got the rough texture. It’s not the smooth shrink wrap that mudhole sells. I get mine from batson. Grumpys tackle sells the same shrink wrap, only difference is the shrink tubing a tad thicker.
  20. Not a problem. Send me a message and I’ll see what we can come up with. That way this thread stays on topic.
  21. Yes that is correct. KR puts the stripper and choke a lot closer for some reels. Depending on the axis of the shaft. Go make a cast, you will be impressed on my vs150 I believe it’s 22-24”. No more. on my zeebaas it’s around 26-28”.
  22. 25-12-8m-7L would be my reduction for majority of plugging rods nowadays if you use single foot that is. super light, casts great. You won’t regret it
  23. Yeah I’ve built plenty of them for guys throwing bait or jigging the canal.
  24. I’m using 200-300 grit. What ever is floating around my work bench at the time. Lol If your worried about taking off too much then use a higher grit sand paper.
  25. 6 ring in alconite is a bit small for passing knots using 40-50lb. Depending on whose braid your using. 6 ring in torzite will pass knots fine. 7 and 8 no problem. If your worried just use 8 ring.
