  1. Started out in O C about noon, saw some bait in the water and decided to throw some small metal and swimmers. There were a few fish chasing the bait, and the birds started to dive, but with all the bait, no fish were landed.
  2. They only show up when no one is around. Keeps us half crazy and excited for no reason at all! And it creates fishing reports
  3. Fished O C at high tide, only saw one short fish caught. There was some small bait but the hard south wind just changed conditions .
  4. Yup… same story for all the saltwater fishing. Just not there !
  5. Fished in the back today, plenty of bait and snappers (7-10 inches) with an ultra light set up on every other cast. Also caught a few needle fish, plenty of life in the back today!
  6. Nice looking plug… should get the job done in the coming weeks!

  18. Yes, agree 100% the ODM DNA 8 footer is a work horse. Two weeks after purchasing, came across a large school of blues (10-12 lbs) lasted about 2 hrs. My arms were tired, no problem landing these fish with this rod. Good luck !
  19. Smart…. Great looking glider !
  20. For any smaller fish, blues, albies spanish macs, I switch to a smaller shimano 3000 . You can cast this all day and never get fatigued…. An absolute nice set up and my favorite.
  21. I have the 8’6 paired with vr50 and also 4000 stradic. Both reels work fine and a nice light setup for plugging. Good all around beach rod for fishing.
  22. Fished early O C today and found some bunker, stayed with them and kept changing lures and finally two fish, one nice fat bass 31 inches and one blue at 28 inches. All fish released and we all went home happy !!
