  1. One of these guys, 3# I think. Keep it in a nylon bag with 100' of 1/4" polypropylene (floating) line. If you stuff the line in as you take it up, it "should" come out clean.

sorry for the off topic off shoot again but i have the same anchor, tried to anchor in current several times and the anchor just got dragged along - i never real stayed put... its a sandy/mid bottom area not rocks... any tips on how to properly stay put?

Thanks Joe.  I've been trying to get out, but not getting much. I rigged a no drill anchor trolley on the Caribbean for this outing, worked pretty well. Just used carabiners in the grab handles. I don't know why such a big deal is made of needing pulleys for these.  BTW, I found the boat was wanting to turn into the wind with a crate, 2 rods, flag and net behind me. Hadn't noticed that before so strongly.

You'd be horrified to see what your pretty boat looked like today even after I tried to rinse it out at takeout! Bunker blood and guts everywhere.

You need an anchor trolley so the boat is held by an end, and you need to scope out at least 4x your depth in anchorline.  I was anchored by the stern, better for fishing because you're facing where your bait is, but it was a little scary. In order to anchor by the bow, you'd have to have nothing behind you like rods or light pole obstructing bringing a fish from side to side.

what kind of anchor do u use?
