  1. Hi, I'm looking for info on native trout streams in southeastern MA to use my new Tenkara rod. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks, Greg
  2. Viete, This is the info I received from G. Loomis. Hello Greg, "We don't repair rods unfortunately. We wouldn't have anything for the rod as well because it has been discontinued. The best suggestion would be to go about our expeditor process if the rod is broken. Rod warranty and expeditor is done online now at Gloomis.com. Visit the website and create an account. Once you do so, you will want to register your rod. Older rods aren't going to have serial numbers, so when it asks for it, you can click on the "No serial number on your rod?" for an option to enter your model number. After you do so you will have to provide a round a bout date on when you purchased the rod, you can scroll past proof of purchase on older rods to submit it. Rods purchased before August 2020 do not need proof of purchase. When it is submitted, you can click on the support tab to start the warranty or expeditor." I've used their expeditor service to replace a broken rod and they were very fair with me. If you need any other info let me know. Thanks, Greg
  3. Viete, I will check with Loomis and let you know what they say. Thanks, Greg
  4. Both rods have been sitting in my garage for years and have been in the original socks and tubes. There is some scuffing where they were laid on my stripping basket when I was changing flies but otherwise are in great shape. Not sure how to price them but T & T is a premium rod builder and their prices for new ones are pretty high. Having said that, I'm not in a hurry to sell them, but if someone wants a nice T&T rod I would let them go for $350.
  5. My computer is acting up so there are 3 of the first pic, sorry. Issue resolved only 4 pics now
  6. Well this has turned into an interesting and informative chat, All I was looking for are some streams on the south shore where I can try my Tenkara rod to catch some native trout. I will do some more research based on what you all have posted. Thank you. If any of you have any suggestions let me know. Thanks again. GJS
  7. Yes, these are T & T fly rods. I recently contacted T & T about these rods and they said they are Surf Cast (SC) models, with a medium fast taper designed for casting sinking and or big flies and were popular with anglers who like a deeper loading rod. I'll try to post some pictures by tomorrow night.
  8. Does anyone know if there are any maps showing streams that have native trout in MA? Thanks for any input.

  12. Hi, Looking for some ideas. I like to take both, a 9' surf rod and a 9' fly rod when I go out. Depending on conditions I will use one or the other. I'm looking for a bag that can carry 3 tubes for lures and a flybox and some misc. small stuff, and be able to carry the spare rod. I would prefer a sling if possible. Thanks for any suggestions. GJS
