  1. Last week was kind of on fire for me personally, this past week was a straight skunking, so i think its close to wrapping up but im hoping for 1 good sized november fish before traveling south to get skunked down there
  2. I wade through peoples "yards" all the time. I dont think its technically their property, although if im lazy and its early spring or late fall i walk on the grass near the water, but i almost exclusively fish in those frowned up areas
  3. Thanks but ill pass, appreciate the counter
  4. Offer 75 for the black over brown surface giant
  5. No problem send em over whenever i appreciate it
  6. Offer 70 for the black over brown
  7. Offer 70 for the blurple surface slim shipped
  8. I'm looking for surf asylum flat glides if he passes
  9. Its not an exaggeration. I had to deal with VS directly on both occasions. It was very unfortunate the first time it happened because i was the #1 fan of the reel. I noticed one day when the anti reverse started failing and then the next week it was just done, no AR. Same thing happened twice, but its been good ever since i turned it into my canal reel and have kept it dry
  10. The VR50 is sweet, its a tiny somewhat durable reel thats smooth enough, but do not under any circumstances reel it under water unless you want to service it right away. I used mine twice in the surf, not reeling it under water at all, just getting splashed and the insides got torched twice. Its a great reel despite its issues, but its not a VS
  11. Never sold a reel or a rod, who would ever do such a thing! I still have my first saltwater spinfisher that's broken in a box in my closet. Will most likely never throw it out or more importantly fix it, but maybe one day...
  12. Ive got mine on a 7 6 g loomis e6x. Absolute perfect combo, but idk that the vr50 is a true "surf" reel. Id be very careful using it like you might a VS in the surf
  13. I had all my luck on the peanut bunker hogy im the 5/8 size
  14. White or bone is your best bet honestly for all scenarios. The medium size should be your best bet as well. You could try going black and fishing at night too, that will certainly increase your chances
  15. There are plenty of small plugs that can take the biggest bass out there. I usually go by what the conditions dictate. Rough surf, mayne throw a big bottle and you might be surprised. Calm backwater, no sense in throwing anything too big unless its a plastic. Thats one way to try, whatever holds in the waves and current will probably match what the fish are feeding on if you want to keep it really simple
  16. Ive got some i made that are very lightly used with the best hardware on them, theyre on the 3-3.5 ounce side. All floating and would run about 30 each. I can post pics tomorrow if youre interested
  17. Let me know if youd split the ss needle and the northbar
  18. That makes two off us, i immediatly started thinking about how to make one for my ultra light rod
  19. I saw two guys using casting eggs for trout. That was a first for me today
  20. I got a 25 pounder in probably 80% of max current on a very light g loomis e6x this year. Casted to what i thought couldve been albies only to immediatly get the biggest bass in the mix. Ive got a vr50 with also about 80% of the possible 20 pound braid on it. I had a little struggle within the first 30 seconds even thinking about moving the fish but after that i was about to get him in and land him in honestly the same amount of time 8t wouldve taken me on a surf rod. Its not preferable obviously but its all doable. Never once got too down in the current to get in anyones way either. If youre gonna fish a lighter reel or drag max, fish a shorter rod. Theyre considerably easier to catch the closer in you get them - thats what is more of a determining factor
