  1. Mass made me title and register my Yak (stealth 14 with trolling motor). Also nailed me with sales tax. Ended up costing me in the neighborhood of $160,00. No matter how you slice it it is still a kayak. Soon there will be a no smoking ban on kayaks as well.
  2. I Tossed this Idea around with my Buddies, something I would like to try next season. Just wasn't in the cards this year. Bet there is some good fishing at the edge of those currents. Imagine it doesn't take too long to get there.
  3. Quote: Originally Posted by Maslow I wish I saw this sooner. Yes, as you know, you can park there. It's a pretty good local too... Yeah wasn't a very long hike to launch. People were very nice. How's the fishing in Buzzards bay these days? I would like to get out at least one more time before winter.
  4. Looking good Hertzy! Might want to think about kill switch with landyard. MA not only made me register but also made me title. Bastards. Don't forget proof of sales tax and proof of origin.
  5. My switch is a pot/ Kinda like a volume Knob. So it;s variable speed and reverse. It is mounted inside and through the hull high and to my left on my seat.
  6. Nice job. Same design as the Bass Yaks. Can you lift the motor by pushing with both feet? Hertzy, You probably already had this in mind but I'm putting in a few pics that might help you. You need this to pick your motor up and drop it down. Hope this helps.. So simple a fisherman can do it. LOL tight lines
  7. something like that 45lbs. I actually have to take back what I said earlier about the time. Was out for 8 hours today while running depth finder had plenty of juice left. Perfect conditions today Flat no wind.
  8. Went there today no problems, parked off the side. Had the place to myself out there. Whipped eels into the current and did the drift thing for a few hours with no avail. I switched to squid and caught a few blues. I guess next year. At least I know where to go to launch. Thanks for the feedback.
  9. OK let me ask this. Is there a place to launch on the east end of canal Cape side?
  10. I run A 55ah marine glass mat from power tech on my Bass yak.. A little pricey but worth the dough. I can run intermitten doing drifts for a good 4 hours, I get more life in fresh water with no current.
  11. That's A great Idea. I need A Kayak buddy who has one.
  12. Has anyone ever parked and launched their Kayak from Hemisphere waterfront Restaurant In Sandwich? And do they mind if we park there?
  13. My Kayak weighs about 200lbs fully loaded. Will the wheeleez cart still work in that thick sand? Tried to save money and bought that cart from Dick's. Well it worked well in the parking lot but when I got to the sand all I could think to myself was "What was I thinking"
