Over the past week I put in several days of fishing… First I went to a place that a friend had been fishing the past few weeks and had some good days on Specs…well, I caught none.

In the surf I caught 4 Striped Bass on bait…2 shorts and 31” and 37.5”…both fat and both released, although I was tempted to keep a fish for a meal and to see what it was feeding on… I could round up on the 37.5” and make it 38”…right? But whats a half inch? ... Anyway a 37” or 38” Striped Bass out of the surf in February…very surprised! Frankly, this is one of the best Februarys for me …

The vernal equinox is just 22 days away…w/ the weather we have had all winter long, things might get interesting right after that …
