  1. Comet in Hubbartston, right at the boat ramp
  2. Good i hope you keep everything and post some pictures too! Because we all care about your P************************************************************************************************************************************************************ More than half the people now on this site are fisherman not anglers,Shut down that 7 mile slum and see how many people fish. The answer none because this generation does nothing and has a crappy work ethic,They don't want to do the work or search for fish, they want instant gratification. So have at it all keep the pictures coming because we all care,NOT
  3. Worcester counties best kept secrets, Ray is one of the best rod builders around and a really great guy, Have two custom jobs from him, 10 ft surf rod and my 8'6 Wachusett rod. Has low overhead and works fast, Has guides replaced weeks ahead of anyone. have spent hours there talking fishing, He can build you anything you want, And his work is great. Going to go see him about another rod, specifically for Albie's ,8 ft Albie Snax rod.
  4. Good, the last thing I want to here or see is any more fish kills on that seven mile slum. As it is that silly club has there month long fish kill for bragging rights. Fishing is better in Rhody any ways.
  5. They're here,Middleboro off 44 has fish, spotted a dozen or so yesterday around 4:00 pm. They were located over the third bridge.
  6. I switch from time to time with a VS 250 and a TRQ 5 bailess, and love it with both reels. With that said the Penn is a better balence and is my preference. Abosolute awesome all around rod for light jigging and most of all SP's , darters and metal lips . The sweet spot seems to be around 2.5 oz.
  7. if you split I'll take the RV for $25

But I don't think a salmon caught (for example) under the power lines near the causeway should fall under the same management regulations as fish that are spawning I agree, the drop backs in the main res. ashould be fair game.

The beaver dams they also can deal with, but water behind beaver dams in summer can get very warm stressing the resident fish. As far as browns above the bridge, some of those fish could be landlocked salmon parr. Very hard to tell the difference if you don't know what you're looking for. Stillwater river has a naturally reproducing landlock fishery. The fish are very pressured and over the past 30 years the population has crashed. Too much killing of fish. The fish are browns and not par. The population has not crashed it is doing just fine, although it does get alot of pressure most of the guys who fish up there are very respectful of the amazing privilage that it is fishing for these fish. Unlike the massive fish kills you see at that s...hole CC Canal. Imo the landlocks should be catch and release from Sep. until Nov. 30. and the slot should be raised from 15" to 22".What people don't seem to understand is this and the Quabin are the only to fisheries you can catch these fish. I would love to fish some of the tribs up near the Q but it closes early. It won't be a surprise to me if a new state record comes out of Watchusett , especially with the smelt population doing so well.

I'll admit I haven't seen the river yet this fall; but if there was water in there last month, it doesn't take much rain to get them in. I might have to do a bit of recon this weekend. At least I'll catch some pretty brookies. True with Sep. rains they have been there.Yes i have and there is nothing, a few browns in the pool above singing bridge thats it. Rain or not they will go up. I worry with the low water levels that we may see alot off dead ones in the weeks to come. A few years back the herons did a number on them. I found multible fish with punctures from them.

As far putting a pattern together to catch big browns at Wathusett,I don't think you can.The landlocks you can if you have the knowledge and have put the time in at Watchusett. It is very predictable if you know what your doing and you can have multiple hookups in a day wich is very rewarding
  14. I have my TRQ-5 bailess on a 10" Century Stealth 1-4 oz., and freaking love it. Throws light plugs like SP"S and Bombers well. Sweet spot is about 2.5 onces with also makes it good for light jigging up to 3 oz.
  15. 24/7 makes a good one, they're about 3 oz. and cast well.
