  1. Thanks for all the replies. I ended up taking to Brielle Tackle. It cost around $20. Learning to do this is a skill I want to acquire, but short on time, and it is an expensive rod that I don’t want to mess up.
  2. Thanks. Is it necessary to have the device that turns the rod?
  3. I have a cracked line guide that I need replaced. I watched a you-tube video and it seemed a little more complicated than I want to attempt. Does anyone have a shop or a guy who does rod repairs? Union, Middlesex, or Manmouth Counties preferred. Thanks.
  4. Nevermind. Switched browsers and got it to work,
  5. I am on the application, but I don't see a way to actually submit it. Am I missing something or just SOOL?
  6. Last night, outback, incoming tide (near high). Got a feisty striped bass on a SP minnow. Reached down to remove the hook and she flopped, driving the other treble into my palm. Tried to pull the hook out of my hand first, but fish wouldn't cooperate, so worked the hook out of the fish, revived the fish, and then pulled the hook out of my hand. I had crushed the barbs which made it easier. So just a reminder: Allows crush the barbs, especially on lures that have multiple hooks. It is nicer to the fish and potentially to the fisherman as well.
  7. This morning. Out back. Moco. One of three.
  8. I am in north central jersey; fish mostly in moco.
  9. Hi. Any plans to make it up farther north this fall?
  10. On Monday, I saw a guy find a hydro minnow inside a blue he caught. Seems like it would be painful to swallow.
  11. Was out this morning at daybreak in moco; 6:30 to 8:30; and yes, that wind was cold. One hickory shad and one frozen hand for the effort.
