  1. None in Hoboken, haha. Moved from there a few years back, so this handle may need to be updated
  2. Fished this am out back, incoming tide. First trip of the year. Had about an hour and managed 10 fish. Poppers and minnow plugs. Decent sized fish, all roughly the same size. Felt good to have some drag pulled
  3. Moco, Incoming tide 6-10 this am. Peanuts all within casting range for hours, but very little on them
  4. out front this AM from 5a-8a in nomoco. no wind, flat calm and pretty dead. I had a couple small bluefish. one took a popper, which was cool to get some surface action. I started the season late b/c of the pandemic, but it's been a struggle. have only been out about 5-6 times this spring, but no stripes to show for it. Just a few small blues and some rainbows on the fly in a couple local freshwater trips.
  5. MoCo out front 5am-8am, incoming tide. not much life out there. A few dolphins in the distance, and lots of sand crabs. seemed like it was going to be a skunk but found a small bluefish on a mag darter on the last few casts.
  6. thanks guys. excited to toss it in the spring.
  7. Was wondering if anyone could ID the plug below. Found it on a moco beach, but never actually clipped it on this fall. Looks flawless, never has caught a fish, could've snapped off on the first cast.
  8. Was out this AM at a few spots in nomoco. had blitzing peanuts at all the spots I hit. Peanuts were so thick, it was hard to keep them off the hook. bass were rolling in the wash, but not enough bass for how thick the bait was. I managed 8 bass, but probably snagged 50+ peanuts. One of the spots I hit was very hot before I got there, and I missed the bite. Mine were 20-26 inch fish. Didn't seem like there were any bigger fish on them
  9. Thanks guys. Haven't fished for snappers since I was a kid. Sounds like the hardest part will be dealing with my 3 year old!
  10. Hey guys, I'm going to be in LBI for a week with the family at the end of the month. My son is almost 3, and I just bought him a little rod. is there anything that would bite a hook/bobber set up on the bayside? I'm not 100% sure I'm even going to try it with him, but if there's a decent chance of getting anything to bite, he would have a blast. I'll be fishing the evenings and mornings, probably in the Beach Haven area, with pretty low expectations.
  11. a week ago, i saw a bird dive and come out with a small-medium sized bunker and brought it onto the beach right behind me. There was no sign of anything other than sand eels, and without actually having seen it, you never would have known it was there
  12. Fished Moco and had a very good bite this am. Had 25+ fish from 630-830 then it turned off. Most of the fish on an Ava and about 5-6 on the teaser. Biggest was about 26 inches, most were in the 18-24 range. 2 double headers though. My first two ever
  13. somewhat of an assumption. i never actually saw any, but they were going after slim profiles and teasers, and sand eels have been the main bait lately
  14. Fished Nomoco Monday from dawn till 10am. Decently big surf but very fishable. Had birds working out a ways on sand eels, but made a move and found them in close. caught a few fat schoolies on an Ava. there were other guys fishing the area, and they were hooking up at a better rate than i was. Saw a few bass roll over in the wash, but most of the activity was sub surface.
  15. Fished Nomoco this am from 5a-9a. Saw birds working in close on sand eels and get excited. The sand eels were thick, but nothing was on them. Every cast was coming in with sand eels on my hooks. I threw everything I could with a slim profile (SP, shad, sand eel soft plastic, Ava) and couldn't even get a bump. A very frustrating skunk. I was in a boat on Thursday off the same area I fished this AM. Sand eels were thick there too and had non-stop action on diamond jigs. 50+ fish. Most were mid 20 inch class fish, but there a handful of keeper sized fish mixed in too. At some points, it felt like you couldn't even hit bottom before a fish would grab it. I know boat fish don't count, but it felt good to get a bend in the rod. This fall has been a struggle.
