  1. hi gerry: sure, $225 + shipping sounds fine. give me a day or so to get the shipping cost. thanks much, and i hope you enjoy the rod! erik
  2. this rod is known as the "Spanish buster," with a sweet spot rating of 1oz to 3oz, though i've thrown 3/4oz, too. google it. you'll get lots of hits. the all star blank is out of production now and quite rare, from what i understand. don't know how much shipping would be unless i know your zip. care to share?
  3. Sadly, I can no longer surf cast or walk the rocks, so this has got to go. The rod was custom built by Hatteras Jack on an All Star 1265 / 2 blank. Length is 10'-1/2". The butt was a little longer at one point but I had it cut down. The chair leg cup that covers the butt will need to be replaced (less than a buck), though I'll probably get around to doing that shortly. This was made using the Fuji Concept guide system and as you can see, one of the guides broke off and needs to be replaced, which I'll leave up to the new owner. Top half of rod is 65" long, bottom half is 59" long. I'm asking $250 or best offer. I live in Wakefield, RI, near Narragansett, and would vastly prefer not to have to ship the rod. But, if I have to, I will, at the buyer's expense. And if you live nearby and want to see the rod, that would be fine. Thanks. And if you have any questions and/or want more photos, let me know and I'll do what I can.
  4. For a discussion of this rod and its Lami designation, please see the discussion and pix at http://www.stripersonline.com/t/800487/any-way-to-tell-if-a-lami-is-a-lami . Color of the rod is black, with gold wrapping. I've remeasured the rod and it is 10'-6" when put together. The two pieces are the same length, both being 64.5" long. Some small scratches from use but nothing to worry about. Guides are tight. Overall: a beauty. I'm asking $250 or best offer.
