  1. Thank you Tony
  2. I am really disappointed with penn reel repair. My torque bail screw fell off due to no locktite being applied by penn. So I mail it in for service over 3 weeks ago and I have not been contacted by penn. I was told service would be in about 2 weeks. I have called 3 times and have been told by customer service you are in queu and will be contacted soon. This is ridiculous. I would like to use my reel before winter comes. Shimano returns my reels to me within 2-3 weeks and that is shipping it across the country to California, not shipping it from bucks county to Philadelphia. I am very frustrated and disappointed by this utter lack of customer service. Please help!!
  3. I'm in and I'm grateful for my family. Thanks,
  4. Just want to thank you for taking care of my Penn Torque. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Penn to anyone who asks. Great customer service.
  5. Tony, I gave you my email address as well as my contact info. When should I expect the call tag? Thanks, Serge
  6. Tony, How and when will I receive the call tag?
  7. thanks tony
  8. gentlemen, I own a penn torque 5, serial number F110082. I have to tell you I am extremely dissapointed in the reel. I only fish occasionally (about 20-30 times/yr) and baby the reel. I have needed service on the reel several times already and need service yet again. Your customer service has been great, Larry has been very helpful but I continue to have problems with the reel. The main problem, now, is that, when reeling under tension, there is a jerky clunking when the spool is going down (shaft is going into the reel). This jerky clunking is very annoying and not something I would expect from a $600 reel. Additionally, I had a friend who services reels for a living open the reel body and 1) there were water droplets in the body of the reel 2) the plastic friction ring was frayed and required him to snip off the frayed piece and 3) it looks like the rotor cup is rubbing (scratch marks on the rotor cup). Keep in mind that I do not beat up the reel, skish etc. so this is not acceptable to me nor should it be to Penn. Also, the bail does not always close automatically. The gentlemen I know who services reels mentioned that this is usually caused by the bail being bent out of shape. I have had the bail serviced previously but it still contines to happen (even though I baby the reel). Besides the drag(which is flawless), I think the rest of the reel I own is a lemon. I am asking you folks at Penn to please replace the reel body with one that works as intended as I am tired of having the continuous problems I have experienced. Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks, Serge
  9. Thanks Tom, I just sent it UPS today.
  10. Tony, I'd like to send it in (it has the pin). Also, when I turn the handle, the spool almost shimmies or clicks when the spool is at the top of the shaft and when it approaches the bottom of the shaft. Will this be corrected with the upgrade? Thanks for your help. Serge
  11. Hello, I own a Penn Torque 5 serial - number F110082. I would like to know if this reel needs an upgrade and if it does, can you please explain how I can do this. FYI, I am not able to PM. Thanks, Serge
