  1. Its a great fish HFG. Question: I've always used mono or flouro leader and only lost a bluefish and a plug once; when you throw into blitzing blues like that are you using a metal leader?
  2. Wow. It should have been good this morning. I usually head down before work on days like this, though I slept in today. Last weekend I got one striper 37" on Saturday, but on Sunday just a medium sized blue and (then I snagged a scup through the belly while jigging). But yesterday was dead, both the canal and Duxbury in the morning.

  14. I've used both egg sinkers and rubber core of increasing weight as the current picks up. I've had more luck with the rubber cores than with the egg sinkers, because they keep the eel down somewhat but still allow the eel to swim, and you can feel the eel go crazy trying to get away when a big striper goes after it. I hold the braid gently between thumb and forefinger (with gloves) with the bail open in order to feel what is going on.
  15. Duxbury, Plymouth, Sandwich, Barnstable. Never tried the south side. Not yet.
