    Never
  1. plugs you want to pull with a stiff rod. fast action
  2. daiwa will get the most bang for the buck
  3. cool. good idea. now i need a video cam
  4. a couple more: a good fisherman should always be learning. a good fisherman never thinks that he knows it all. a different concept is always considered.
  5. a good fisherman is a human who pays attention to a lot OF details including weather, barometer, equip., bait, moon phase, tides, particular fish behavior, ect. the good fisherman doesn't care if no fish are caught today and is wanting to try again tomorrow before he leaves today. the good fisherman passes his knowlege on to the younger generation. a good fisherman knows how to properly preserve and share his catch. a good fisherman doesn't brag for he knows his bad day is coming. a good fisherman is friendly, curtious and picks up his trash.
  6. wow. i thought that could be dangerous. i wonder if it would be ok with pole made of s-glass or the old solid fiberglass stick?
  7. i'd get me a 11 foot 2 peice lamiglas made for surf casting. I am partial to baitcasting reels. i would get a daiwa sealine-x sl30sha. string it with 20 lb. berkley big game fishing line. should catch most anything quite well. if you can only have one rod.
  8. nice pic's. a woman is a gatherer. if they fish, they don't need to shop for crap they don't need. that instinct has been filled by the act of harvesting fish. that is what i have noticed.
  9. a sealed reel implys that water cannot get into any place it would matter. most likely the bearings and the gears would be waterproof.
  10. i see alot of soft water clams in sturgeon
  11. nice fish. i am ready to go. i need to look up the rule book down there.
  12. surf casting. you will net a long fishing pole that casts more weight. a good casting reel. light as line as you can go. 20 # max bigger hooks. a six is for trout. more like a 1/0 hook. fish where you see others fishing. observe. pay attention (exactly). write it down. talk. write it down. duplicate and you to will catch fish. hope you are fishing for pleasure and not to save money on food. my fish cost me about $50.00 a pound. lol
  13. if money is an object, do not book through a fishing guide. go there. go down to the docks. see the guys who are bringing in fish. talk to the fisherman. negotiate a price based on how many days. how many people. i normally get a boat just for myself. then i can fish 4 sticks!
  14. if i am casting a bobber i use braid. (power pro) if casting lead for distance use mono. (trilene xl)
