  1. sorry guys. my laptop crashed and i just got on. Enjoy Dave!
  2. Striper Swiper, I am interested. question for you, how are these for a guy with a rather big head? I have a hard time finding glasses that fit properly. Roger
  3. Airdown, can you educate me on the sirius sat. receivers? i can honestly say i don't know enough about them? are they portable or are they fix mounted in a vehicle? is there anything i would need to buy to make these work, other than a subscription to Sirius? thanks, Roger
  4. Pungo, what type of roof rack are you using? thule? i just bought a new to me 02 4runner and need a rack for it.
  5. If you decide to ship, please let me know.
  6. We said good bye to our jeep this weekend and I have a couple of things left over. A Lang manual hard top hoist. used it two years, I think we paid close to $175.00 or so. excellent shape. $75.00 plus shipping or pick up if local. I also have a brand new exhaust manifold with gaskets sitting in the garage. I bought this in anticipation of mine cracking at some point, but it never happened. $70.00 plus shipping. This is for a 4.0 wrangler. not sure if it will fit other 4.0's. thanks, Roger
  7. interesting idea. I don't know a thing about steel roofs, but I will do some research.
  8. thanks. this is the information I was hoping for so that when it does come time to hire someone I sound like i know what the hell I am talking about.
  9. thanks for the responses guys. yes the roof does need to be stripped, as there are two layes up there already. I was budgeting approx. $8,000 for the house, the detached garage, and a little extra for a CYA fund. I would rather spend more and have it done right by a reputable company vs. trying to save and paying more in the long run.
  10. the shingles on our home need to be replaced. we bought the house almost 3 years ago and we are doing one major project a year and this one is up next. the roof needs to be stripped. can you guys let me know what I should look for, what I should expect to pay, any particular shingles I should look for, etc? (also if anyone can recommend a good roofer in the Rhode Island area, I am going to start getting estimates for the job next spring. we have a colonial with a detached garage, approx. 1,400 square feet of roof space.
  11. this is my lab, Noah. We rescued him three years ago. he was in tough shape. lots of money and time spent with him. would i do it again? in a new york second. best thing i ever did.
  12. I have been before. it is a crazy day. don't make the same mistake i did by trying to go ON Halloween unless you have a lot of patience for crowds, a lot of the venues being over booked, etc. If you go another day it will be lots of fun and a great day.
  13. i used a patch that i found at a fabric store to patch a hole in my soft top. iron on type. just be careful you don't melt the top. two years and still holding out well.
