  1. Bump, will also trade for Home Depot, Lowes, etc., gift cards...
  2. Thanks for the offer but I'm gonna have to pass. I'm gonna let it ride for a bit...
  3. Sorry man, for the time being I'm hanging on to the that one. I'm going to try and build it at some point!
  4. Hey guys, I have a baby on the way and I have too many blanks that are sitting and probably won't get built... and I need the extra cash for the baby. Brand new, still in the bag SS1265 blank. 10'6" rated 1-3.5. Would love to build it, but I just don't have the time or money. Looking for $250 picked up in the greater Boston to southern NH area or shipped on the buyer. I believe these are going for $313 online. Thanks.
  5. Yea, I know what you guys are talking about when you say 'cloud' now. Guess i was having a brain fart... That is a great write up by the way. It is much more like a 'yellow head' (similar to a red head) than a cloud. When I bought it years back it was supposedly only 1 of 2 he made or something like that but I never believe people when they say something like that (and I'm not really a collector).
  6. I don't know what you'd call it. Its just like a yellow head that fades into white. Would that be a yellow cloud?
  7. Anyone ever see a paint job like this one? I was going through some plugs that I haven't looked at in years and came across this one. It is the only one I have ever seen... (Sorry for the crappy pic - I was in my basement)
  8. 17# mono on mine. I only use it for bait fishing and I much prefer mono to braid for bait. 17# is plenty strong and gives you plenty of line on the spool. Learned it from the drum guys down in the mid Atlantic - that's all they use.
  9. Those guys from Morning Tide in Australia get some sweet fish from shore on plugs. They have some pretty cool videos. Tuna from the rocks would be a blast!
  10. Man, i can't wait till they make it up here, soon enough I can start posting!
  11. Catching birds is the worst. Luckily it only happened to me twice. Once with a gull and once with a cormorant. Both were freed and were fine, but that cormorant chomped down petty hard on my fingers.
  12. Any word on shad? I saw some birds working on the Merrimack the other day...
  13. Every year I say I am going for shad but never end up going... maybe this will be the year!
  14. The idea is good, but as was said above, I don't think you could cast if it was sealed...
  15. I think 2 is on the top end of this blank. It will throw <1-2 great but over 2, I'm not really going to load it up.
  16. I love fishing flats. If you can bear the cold water, just wet wade. Bathing suite and some type of water shoes. If worse comes to worst and you have to swim, it won't be as dangerous if you were wearing waders. And there is nothing more fun than catching big bass on top in skinny water!
  17. The Fin and Feather is right down the road in Essex - great shop.
  18. Has anyone been having any luck at Cranes? I was out on Wednesday night tossing needles and a few swimmers - nothing. it was my first trip to the beach this season. Anyone doing any better?
  19. It was very nice meeting you too. Hope you catch some cows with that blank!
