  1. IT doesn't take much to hold guides i place. If you fish with 15#'s of drag, which is probably a lot fo rStriped Bass, and you have a rod with 8 guides - that is 2#'s of pressure per guide. Take a look at my pics of deadlifting 65#'s, the guides weren't even epoxied.
  2. This is not accurate, you don't need to wait that long, but the CP must be dry before epoxy. I don't use it on guides, but have put it on hundreds of Dec WRaps, I have put epoxy on 2 hours after applying CP without a problem. If you want to be safe that's one thing, but as long asthe CP is dry you can put eppoxy
