  1. Seaweed if you look at the end (hinge) there should be a name on the box. I be damned if I could read it but it's there. If box was hanging it would be the bottom
  2. That makes total sense as I remember paying about same price as the Surfster and Slim I got.
  3. Thank you Sudsy. you had posted while I was typing. I had ended up with an unfinished Slim myself
  4. I also want to add there are no markings on plug (not signed) I'm 98% sure it is a Tiger but not sure with paint and finish
  5. I bought this plug here on SOL back in 2010. My memory is not as good as it used to be. From what I remember but can't be sure the plug was carved by Gary Hull and was in his shop but not finished. I'm pretty sure it was finished by a member here, I had bought it along with a Gary2 Surfster. The color is Blurple-black over purple, the pic color is off. I'm pretty sure I discussed this with Sudsy while talking about some Slims
  6. I would like to sell ZeeBaas ZX25 series 2 $650 a with a Lamiglas Surf Jetty 10' 2-4 lure weight xs 101 ms (1 piece) $150. I would like to arrange a meet for pickup if possible-Rod is to difficult to ship. If more or better pics are needed just ask. I'm selling reel due to health reasons. I am 2nd owner and bought reel around 2010, I had only used reel twice since then. Rod was bought new and also only used a couple times. Comes with 40lb? Spiderwire on spool but will also include 300 yrds of Braid I have a few to choose from. $800 combined. I'm in Morris County NJ but can meet
  7. That's odd as his name is the same as my brothers. Looks like a decent belt so I know for sure my brother had nothing to do with it
  8. Not to jump on your quote but I have been tying this knot for over a year now. I first learned it as some Sebile or Sebile sponsored guys were staying at a cousins B&B in NC. They had sat down and rigged up a bunch of setups and some with wire I did not believe it would work so they tied it off and yanked-it did not slip. If tied right it won't slip. The Japanese jigging guys have been using this knot(GT and or FG) for years ans they tie it in about 1 minute or so. Like said though it has it's time and place and yes it would suck trying to tie on a jetty at night but so doesn't trying to do anything
  9. Yeah that sucks, and yes some parts of Essex Co really suck as I worked in Fairfield for many years. I know just how you feel also as I got hit up last year. Almost 10 years in my house w/ no problems then my neighbor rents her house and wham 3 rod/reels, 2 full tackle box/bags(big ones) stolen out of my boathouse. What really pised me off was one reel I just finished building a Abu 6600c (15 yrs old but never used) w/ ceramic bearings, new worm gear w/ bearings, carbontex drag.. and so on..... Well over the last month or so things have been stolen around the neighborhood. I had mentioned to my (other) neighbor in a pasiing discussion that nobody belongs in my garage except me. Then just the other night (around midnight)I get a call from my neighbor and he says he sees someone at my garage door looking like they are trying to get in.. I said call the cops I will be there in minutes as I was on my way home. Good thing my neighbor saw him and he left because god only knows what would happen if I caught him. Well I see this guy comeing down the street and I block the road(as it's only 1 1/2 car wide) He tries to turn around and take off as I'm going up to his truck and the cops come the other way. Turns out they had been looking for him for several thefts and the effer had several grill tanks in his truck. The effer ended up spending the weekend in county If you need anything else maybe I can send you something like maybe some swimmers or something..Just PM me
  10. Yeah from what I have heard about TD I would not order anything from them. I would only purchase from the store. It's just to bad that more folks don't carry the Star Rods as they are awesome for the money and you can't beat the lifetime warranty. As some others did say the Ugly Tigers are decent rods and have also gotten some good reviews
  11. Star Rods--The best bang for your buck anyway you look at it. Well unless you overpay like a few I know-but they still love their rods(paid $200 plus)
  12. For Plugging I use #20 to #40 as the lighter line casts much better and further For Chunking I prefer to go around #60 but I also use #30 or #40 so it's really your choice. Much of the line I use revolves around the setup as I want to have a minimum 300 yrds of braid so if I have a big reel I will go with #60 or maybe even upto #80. For Drum I would want heavy line and a strong leader of atleast 3' as drum tend to forage in some rocky areas plus they are beasts
  13. Well I don't have the Spheros or the 9' Mojo but I have a 10' Mojo paired with a TwinPower SW6000 and I feel the same way-Wow The setup is one plugging machine and due to it's lightweight I can plug all day without getting overly tired and it's a dream for fighting fish. I don't have a bailess kit and not sure if it's available for the Twin but I do have a bailess ZB ZX25 which I love. It does take abit getting used to though and I don't recommend using at night till your used to it
