  1. They may be landing in the water, but how deep is it? You may be throwing into 6" of water over a sandbar. Hardly an expert, but here's whats worked for me this year. Try to check out the places you fish at low tide, check out the sandbars/structure I've had better luck fishing closer to low tides, when I can walk further out on these sandbars. This puts my cast into deeper water on the other side of the bar. I went from a 9' to an 11' to get greater distance on the casts. Majority of the fish I caught, or saw caught, were out a distance, nothing seemed to be caught in close. If you, and nobody nearby, is catching anything, there just may be no fish in that area. If you aren't catching, and everyone else around you is, then you need talk to/watch the others and see whats being done differently.
  2. Thanksgiving morning about 9:00am 37" and 22 1/2lbs
  3. Hit my usual spot in Ocean County at around 7:00. In about 15 minutes I had a 30". Threw back out and got a hit right away, 34". Nothing after that, must have been a passing school. Using an AVA and a sand eel teaser. Both hit the teaser. Nothing in close, all casts were long distance.
  4. Just got my personal best. Hit a beach in Ocean County around 6. Lots of people, not much activity. By around 8:30 I was the only guy left. Getting ready to leave, figured 5 more minutes. Had a nice cast, really got distance. Hit the teaser. After a nice fight, it was 37" and 22 pounds.
  5. My first marriage was a year, I thought that was fast
  6. I got lucky, nothing serious. Roof looks good from the inside
  7. You can legally sell to another individual without going through an FFL dealer. Person you sell you must have a NJ firearms ID.
  8. NJ also has some type of "senior tax freeze". Check on the State Division of Taxation website for details, not sure whats involved.
  9. I have to go check my mothers attic to see if its still up there. Radio opens up into a rifle. [img= http://www.stripersonline.com/image/id/2391285/width/500/height/375]
  10. Correct...watch what happens to the Court system after this change. As a motor vehicle offense, DWI cases are heard by a Judge (no jury) at the Municipal level. By making it a Criminal Offense, it moves up to County Court for a jury trial. This increase in cases at the County will lead to a need for more Judges, plus the extra staff associated with them. More courtrooms may also be needed to hold these extra cases. Officers will no longer be able to stop patrolling their town, go into court, and then return to work. For example, my town had a day and night court. If an Officer had a case, the Court scheduled it for a date and court session he was working. He would patrol the town until he was needed to testify. When needed he go into Court, testify, and then return to the street. With Court now at the County, he will get a subpeona for 9:00 am. He will sit at the Court house and wait to testify. Since the town has no idea how long he will be gone, they have to fill his empty spot with an Officer on overtime. Need for Jurors will increase. If you are person charged with DWI, watch for the lawyers fee to increase. I'm sure Lawyers fees are based on a routine trial in front of a judge. If it goes to a jury, they may need several days in Court depending on the evidence and testimony. Your lawyer bill just went up several thousand dollars. Plea bargaining will increase as a way to keep the cases going to trial to a minimum. Result will be a more expensive system with less DWI convictions.
  11. Had the same lawn mower for 12 years. Never stabilized fuel, or emptied the tank. Just put it in shed as is for winter. I don't think I've ever changed the oil either. Starts up every time, except for last year when I had to change the spark plug. Its a game now, how long will this thing keep going.
