  1. My Dad ran the Mini Americas Cup boats over at Roger Williams Park for years......I didn't know they still did that...very cool!
  2. First one yesterday....Southeastern Mass
  3. That's not true...Bernie's health was fine....his wife Phyl has Parkinsons Disease. That's why they disappeared from commercials....Bernie never shook...that was his wife.
  4. I don't usually comment...been a serial lurker forever. The parallels between our story are creepy! My Dad passed in December at the age of 87. We are currently in the process of planning his service to commit his cremains at Mass Military Reservation for March. He was a Coastie. I'm not sure what to tell you about your conundrum other than if it would put a smile on his face and you can swing it...go for it. Bob
  5. West marine sells a patch kit. I've made several repairs to mine over the years. Make sure it's an absolutely clean surface when you make the repair. If I understand you, you're repairing the seem between the floor material and the pontoon? If thats the case I would aslo ensure that the Zodiac is filled to it's maximum. Best of luck. Regards, Bob
  6. RMarsh, The ramp at Heritage Park in Fall River is really nice since they did it over. I'm not sure how busy it gets in the summer months, but i imagine its pretty crazy. Somerset is also nice. If you're a non-resident they will charge you. I think its $5 or so. The last two years, the guy who hauls my boat (Silva Marine in Berkley) has been putting me in and hauling me out in Assonet. I have a 30' Grady so I'm limited to high tide but the ramp is actually really nice. If you're gonna stay in the river that may be the way to go. If you're heading out to the bay it would probably add considerable time and distance to your run. I understand all too well the the money woes! I'm not even sure if I'll put the boat in this year. In any event the project looks great! Good luck the rest of the way. Let me know if can help with anything. Best Regards, Bob
  7. Looks Great! Can't wait to see her on the water. I will keep an eye out for her this summer. Best of luck with the rest of the build. Regards, Bob
  8. Wraith, Glad you're still with us. Did this happen on rt 138? People drive way to fast on that stretch of road. Hope you're feeling better soon. Bob
  9. Wow! Way to go out on a limb when they're 4-10! LOL!
  10. Steve, Check out Capriccio....I've never been disappointed. Regards, Bob
  11. There are a ton of boats out there! A price range and the size of boat would help narrow things down. Bob
  12. When I was at Northeastern (a long time ago) I commuted one semester. One day on the way home, I got off the red line in South station and there was this deaf guy handing out these cards that if I remeber correctly stated he was raising money for some charity associated with being deaf and on the other side had all the letters or words in sign language. Well I broke the cardinal rule of dealing with panhandlers and made eye contact. So being young and dumb I gave him a couple of bucks and went on my way. When I got upstairs to grab the commutor rail I had to take a dump really badly. Really badly! So, I'm sitting there in this stall taking care of business and who pops his head up over the partition next to me, looks down at me and says "hey, what's up?" Yeah....the deaf guy. So no, as a rule, I don't give money to people on the streets. I usually just keep walking. But have made exceptions.
