  3. Got my personal best last week. Not a monster at 39", but I did get it on a popper I made myself.
  4. Hey New Jack, the canal plant is a two unit plant. Right now they are working on some of the systems. They are only using one unit at a time Maybe bump into you some time this comming week. Don't usually fish that side of the ditch, but have been meaning to try it out.
  5. I will be relocating to the Myrtle Beach area sometime in the near future. What kind of fishing can I expect. I like fishing light tackle and fly rods out of a kayak or off the beach.
  6. Hey New Jack, are you the guy that had a 42" draped over his back a couple of weeks ago and stopped to talk to one of the divers working at the canal power plant? If so, that was me you were talking to. I did see a few good size fish swimming around while I was working there.

  9. I hear alot about the Penn 704 on this board. What about a 710Z? I just found one in the attic. Looks like it would work well on a 9' or 10' surf rod. Do you think it would be good for braid?

  12. Going to do some shad fishing in the North River this year. What would be good chioces for flies? Any pictures?
  13. If you use a sit in type. A paddle float, and learn how to use it! Dress for the water. Also a paddling/fishing buddy is nice when you can find one.
  14. I agree "forget about the scratches" your going to get plenty more. I use little white plastic plugs you can get at HD or Lowes They can be dyed to match your yak with Rite fabric dye. Keep a coating of a UV protector on it (armoral or 302)
