Are there any spooks that are heavy and cast a mile into the wind, yet still float and aren't huge?(sounds contradictory :P) All the spooks I have are light and become useless in any real wind. Also some of the sizes I see here are way too big for the small fish we've got where I fish here in Southern NJ.
I only fish with lures and I am happy to catch anything, so especially here in southern nj I have to fall back on catching bluefish if nothing else is around. Most of them are one pound or less most of the time. I didn't even know the bluefish rules changed. It had been no limit for so long, I just happened to walk past a notice board and saw the difference.
CMC today.....tons of snapping blues, gorging on these tiny little fish(smaller than minnows), don't know what they are....sadly no big guys anywhere near by
I at least can answer in that it can be. Biggest weakie I ever caught was one day when we had a good coastal storm come through. Usually I like to fish off the ocean more than the bay and stay dry so for that it's not ideal
CMC, ocean was just a mess so I decided to fish in the bay and enjoy less wind. I caught the same exact black seabass over and over and over, at least that's what it looked like. Tons of bait fish everywhere and nothing on any of it
My dad keeps telling me stories about the 9 pound bluefish he would catch around this time of year. I was out all sunday driving around to every spot looking for even just snapping bluefish.
When I hear stories like this I wish the people could experience the montauk crowd and they would realize they were happier with what they had to deal with.
I would have got a vs but i really don't like getting wet. Instead I went with something to try and make up that casting difference of not being in the water.
I don't know how anyone is suppose to make an informed decision on sunglasses. There's so many brands, styles, tints. I can go into the local mall, to a store but there's no ocean to look at, to help make a choice.
This time last year my lawn was dead from no rain and I happily didn't have to mow. But all this rain made me think does significant rain over significant period of time have any impact on saltwater fishing?
