  1. Did you buy 2-K instead of 1-K? 2-K is foul burning stuff--very nasty. Not supposed to use it in indoor kerosene heaters. Is the fuel old? Is your wick old, dirty, covered in soot?
  2. Last time I watched it was in '70-'71 as a kid. On Sunday noon-time TV. Right after Roller Derby. All taped stuff from "The Collesium." Never told you where exactly "The Collesium." A long time later I discovered it was in Columbus, Georgia. (Roller Derby, fine sport--that would be a great thread. I loved Delores Tucker and the Women's side of the Bay Area Bombers. Best brawler in the business.)
  3. Almost forgot -- best tag team match ever: Little Beaver and Little Panther versus Jay Strong Bow and some other late 60's-early 70's wrestling star. Midgets vs the big guys. The Little Beaver and Chief Jay Strongbow in full indian regalia with head-dress doing the war dance before the match. Throwing tomahawks at each other....hysterical. Classic TV wrestling.
  4. Best midget wrestler ever: Little Beaver 4' 4" of mohawked meaness. When he dove off the top turn buckle and landed in the middle of the ring it was awesome.
  5. If there's not a midget tag team bout on the card , or even better, a female midget tag team bout, I don't watch.
  6. I think Chief Jay Strongbow should make a comeback. Going on the War Path, the Bow and Arrow Hold, the Tomahawk Chop, Indian Wrist Strap matches ... that was wrasslin'
  7. Com'on now.... The music from the opening/closing credits of The Blob were first rate. Written by Burt Bacharach. Plus you get to see Steve McQueen in his first starring role. And Aneta Corsaut (Helen Crump, Andy Griffith's TV squeeze) in her first role ever as Steve's love interest. High quality 50's Sci-Fi. Listen to all of the song-- instrumental followed by hysterical lyrics--great stuff: http://kingtet.com/theblob.htm
  8. The rich kid vs The Gang--Fire Truck Race down the big hill. Limburger Cheese
  9. Stymie on Artichokes (just given to him as a hand out): "It might 'a choked Artie, but it ain't gonna choke Stymie." ---The "He-Man Women Haters Club" ---"We want the Flory Dorys'. We want the Flory Dorys'." I can watch Our Gang Comedies all day long. Hal Roach -- brilliant.
  10. Wrapping stocking stuff is un-American. Leave it unwrapped and hum The Star Spangled Banner as you shove it in the stocking.
  11. What everyone else said -- Stanley, steel, pre-heat. Plus get rid of the weak spot in the thermal insulation--the pour through cap. Nice to have, but they let out the heat. Feel your pour through cap--always feels warm to the touch, while the rest of the bottle stays at the ambient temp. A heat leak -- solution: You can order a one piece cap (the old style cap) for any Stanley product directly from them. Works way better at keeping your coffee hot. When you open it and pour, work fast and you'll have hot stuff for 24 hrs.
  12. Way to many big heads and big ego's and guys who want to make a buck for this to be swept under the rug. Selig just gave every ex-pro who's on or off the list a reason to talk, write, lie, and otherwise make a dime off the story. Dumb a** built himself a MLB scandal self-licking ice cream cone.
  13. Deep South grocery chain, with a great name, and it's gone-- The Jitney Jungle Sold fishing tackle and bait plus you got two, 2-stick cream-sicles for a nickel, split in half, to keep four kids sittin' on the bench out front happy. Vicksburg, Mississippi, 1962. Thanks, Dad
  14. Don't know what that deck is rated for, but I'm sure it's way over its load limit.
