  1. what size are you looking for? does color matter ?
  2. everyone has diff opinions of zb but once reel is registered by orig purchaser any problems are fixed by rob at no cost ,or maybe i am just lucky . vs reels are extremly durable and don't leak, however since these china crew have taken over they "hose" you everytime on service, with a few exceptions they now too are expensive unless you buy the parts and do it yourself which is what i have resorted to after my last 413 dollar bill. pete an awesome reel, now you have something i want first wknd your headin out to that place i'll meet ya i have something to show you.

    Corrosion

it works but i find white vinegar hard to beat and a toothbrush
  4. look like accurate clones,i wonder if cutters are same would be cheap way for parts
  5. go to home depot get a ten foot length of pvc pipe and cut , flat rate about 17bucks parcel post to HI.
  6. i would say at this point send it in, with amount of pressure you aplied to bend that i would say reel needs a once over to check for other damage. sorry to be the one to say it.
  7. lord, wish you called me, is that z grease inside? call vs customer service i would guess 30 bucks or so. main gear spins in only one direction if inside the casing that unscrewed,it is on the shaft. if they had done the side plate they would have cut off and charged 416 to replace.
  8. put the wrench on the reel and tap the shaft firmly with a rubber mallet or with a block of wood, it will take alot of taps but each time you will feel it give a tiny turn,it is just a bearing. patience and it will come off. if any prob pm me and i will give my cell and talk you through it. irish
  9. fish it and when needed send it in, prob in 4+ yrs, just rinse her off. service the drag and upgrade drag washers.
  10. on the early reels , rob did not always put counter weights on the vs300 reels,as the gear ratio is slow and there is no wobble, i called him first one i bought and that is directly what he told me, the early reels up until serial over 7000 where often "frankensteined" rob loved to tinker and try new things on them, open a few older ones up and inside there are subtile variations between them. rob from zb craig from vs , are only ones who have any knowledge of these reels current vs tech's in tulsa and customer service are oblivious.
  11. sure, they are boot foot yes, what have you to trade? they are made by proline, mint
