  1. @Popasilov Thank you! saltywatertackle
  2. @Pierce That's strange that they don't carry the model that I was interested in on their web. But it's called : Centaur Chiron Surf Casting rod model: 110xxh. I'm not sure if we're allowed to send links to a particular website but I know of one that carries Centaur surf rods
  3. Anyone here have experience using the Centaur surf series rods? Or if anyone know where I could see reviews on it? THanks!
  4. I was actually considering getting one of their surf rods. Anyone have input on the surf models? TIA
  5. I've read about the century tp929 but does anyone have any experience with the taller version?
  6. @ccb so you don't coat the underwraps before placing guides? I'm building a popping rod
  7. Thanks guys, got it done.
  8. Is this the proper stages for under wrapping with color preserving? 1. Under wrap - color preserve - dry 2. Place guide - over wrap - color preserve - dry - coat - dry - coat - dry - Coat dry Or is it? 1. Under wrap - color preserve - dry - coat - dry 2. Place guide - over wrap - color preserve - dry - coat - dry - coat - dry - coat - dry Thanks in advance! Happy Easter!
  9. "get someone to support forward on the rod" Is this sarcasm? Cause I don't get it
  10. First off, I have no rod lathe. So I want to thin down the OD of my EVA grips and I already have it epoxied on the rod blank. As of now, I'm only brainstorming on how I'm going to sand it down. The EVA grip, with reel seat included is around 3ft. So it's going to have the butt cap end chucked on the power drill but I'm having a difficult time thinking what I'm gonna do about the ferrule and how I can have it properly held down while I sand down the EVA.
  11. My target species is Jacks
  12. I forgot to add I didn't want a sinking stickbait. Is maple hard to carve?
  13. Hi guys I started to make stickbaits but I'm having a very hard time making them sit vertically. Is there any technique someone willing to share without having to add so much weight to the tail end? I'm using WRC.
  14. Boosting power means pulling leverage, which the rod needs when going for GT. Since I'm sure stripers are not on the same level
