  1. these new rotors today are not meant to cut or "turn down" but to replace...the alloys they were once made of went away along with everything of quality!
  2. I have to say when we moved into our brand new home, I did the plastic test...came up dry...put down the commercial Rustoleum product and never looked back...in 8 years since I applied I have not one issue nor has the coating been compromised in any way! what a dream, every spring I hose it down with some lemon simple green, scrub with a soft bristle brush and then rinse. I use a foam floor squeegee and remove pretty much all water and it's like brand new every time! gotta get the commercial grade though... cost more but well worth it! my 2 cents!
  3. The super strike weight is kind of clever in that it is both a tail weight and Keel type weight at the same time. Imagine a cylindrical slug of lead cut length-wise...the rounded portion faces the bottom of the plug while obviously the flat part faces the top of lure or its back. This prevents the lure from rolling while giving it tail weight for the cast all at the same time with one weight. Also, the Gibbs polaris is waited with a slug (full cylindrical) lead in the tail and a small slug of lead towards the front. Good Luck...copying others methods may or may not work for your design...you have to test no matter what...I got out the calipers once and copied the gibbs to the letter and it didn't work nearly as good as a gibbs...many other factors at work here.
  4. ..if that was your other pole you wouldn't have lost it...good thing it's attached!
  5. thanks guys...great to hear it...I have come to know yelp and love the feedback and the comments section... which is where most people make their ultimate decision from like for a restaurant for instance...they are usually accurate and who can deny the use of social media these days. trolling...I luv that one!!! hysterical
  6. any cautionary tales...please pm me and don't post in forum...although this is the age we live in...its called the internet...instant news feed and if the guide is good then there's nothing to worry about is there.
  7. ...anybody ever fish Jeff Becker? If yes and happy please state why... If unhappy, please state why...I wanna try and get all pros and cons...respectfully!!!
  8. I don't care what anyone up in here has said nor how old this thread is, or how bad she looked in that photo...there isn't a hetero-sexual man in here who would have said no to anything she would have offered to do back in the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Use Benjamin moore...anything else is inferior...and get the no or low voc kind they sell...it's extra but it's for your daughter bro!
  10. It's funny.."only a blue" ...don't be ashamed that it was a bluefish...too many picas out there that cant even catch a blue!!!!!!!!!! Good Work. I luv blue fishing.
  11. Well just my 2 cents...I would fix it up...ya buy good, ya keep good! If it could survive sandy and be fixed for years of use to come, it could be a good omen. This is provided you have the time to dedicate to take your time and do it right...lube, sand, paint metal parts and install new ones. Lots of people just threw out stuff ruined in Sandy and took advantage of the system! Trying to get it replaced from an insurance claim. All this did was make it difficult for people to get what NEEDED to be fixed and to get the money need to buy and replace stuff. I am not saying you but I am sure there are people that are "claiming" more than what they really had and who's to say they didn't really have it and in the condition it was stated to be in. We live in a world of throw it away and buy new and its really not doing anyone any good! I myself was affected by Sandy in a small way but didn't go running to the insurance company at first light!! The truth is I hate insurance companies and I know plenty of people still trying to get money to build or fix a place to live in.
  12. uhhhhhh.....yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice
