  1. That,s not a tiger Musky, it,s a pure strain. Very common to havr bars and spots.
  2. Been using teasers on the Delaware for smallmouths for years .In the fall when they are busting the shad fry going downstream. Some days they only hit the teaser. Average 10 or 15 doubles a year using them.
  3. Used to fish Swimming River Res. 30 yrs. ago, and it was great!!! But you can't get access to it now. And fishing is Verboten. You will be ticketed.
  4. The Navesink And the Shrewsbury are for the most part are saltwater. There is some freshwater in the Navesink above Red Bank but you'll need a boat or canoe to fish that and it's not that great. However there is great fishing in both rivers for Stripers, bluefish, weakfish, and fluke. I live about 3 miles from the Shrewsbury and I have been fishing both rivers for over 40 years.
  5. Yeah in lakes where they are natural . Not some 200 acre lake in New Jersey that they stock the Sh##t out of . I fish for bass and muskies. I'm happy catching both but when you put muskies in a small lake where they have never been before there will be less bass. DUH!!!
  6. Caught 15 bass on Friday using the Matzuo suspending jerk baits that you can get at Dick's. When their on sale their 2 for 4 dollars.
  7. Shadow lake is stocked with trout . Closed to fishing until April 11.
  8. I've been bass fishing for 50yrs. I use and have confidence in most lures, I've been around when alot of the lures first came out. I use all types of tackle( fly, spinning, baitcasting).I fish shallow and deep with success and catch fish during all seasons. However there is one lure I have no confidence in, I have caught fish in saltwater with it but I can't remember ever landing a fish in fresh water with it probably because I put it on and make a couple of casts then change it because I know I can catch fish on almost any other lure. LIPLESS CRANKBAITS (rattle traps) I have ZERO confidence in them. I know a lot of people use them and catch fish with them but I don't.
  9. last year I caught a largemouth 8.3#on a 1/16 oz. homemade jig and pig.
  10. One of my goals this year was to catch a Northern Pike in New Jersey.(have caught many in New York state). Went to Farrington Lake on Saturday 3/14 with my son. The water was cold in the 40's and the fishing was slow. I hadn't fished that lake since a was a kid 48 yrs. ago.Caught one pickerel 17", one bass 2 1/2#, and my first New Jersey Northern Pike 24". Caught them all on suspending jerk baits.
  11. I've used them for smallmouths on the Delaware for about ten years. Works in late summer/ early fall when they are busting returning shad fry. I've used a popper with a size 2 streamer and double plastic jerk baits. Fun to catch two at a time but I have not noticed that it increases your catch rate over using one lure.
  12. thanks for the help but that doesn't work with vista
  13. Have uploaded the pictures another site noproblem. I know the file size and pixels is too big for this site. Does any one know how to reduce the size of the pictures on my computer. Thanks I'm a computer idiot
  14. Absolutely!!!! Have been fishing there since 1970. Then they stocked the Muskies I saw a shift in the fish populations. Now it's my goto musky lake, bass fishing poor. Of course this isn't a scientific evaluation, just the observations of a fishermen with 50 yrs. experience. There are spots on that lake where I could always catch a couple of nice bass, now I catch a 15 or 20 pound musky there.
