  1. I vaguely remember hearing a news quip to the effect that soldiers were being told that it was ok to take off the chemical warfare gear over the weekend. Not for anything, i personally wouldnt advise that until the coast was 99% clear of any chance of a chem weapon being used. Also, i would think that theres the inherent risk of a warhead, (like the ones found),being detonated by coalition artillery hitting a target where there may be weapons of this nature stored. ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... 2. ...strictly for Taliban members . I hear that they're given $50 and a 1965Ford Fairlane upon release ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  3. This one give a whole new meaning to the term "Smelling the roses" :http://www.slabearkazad.com/sniff/ ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  4. Walter, the Kodachrome 64 is still available and is still the chrome that the others are judged by as far as basic all around color rendition goes. It actually depends more on what youre shooting. If its landscape, id steer you towards fuji. Their chrome is green (nearly black) based and therefore outside landscape shots have a much truer rendition. For people stuff (ie: controlled lighting) Kodak's Lumier or Elite will probably work just fine for you. Just keep in mind that having prints made can be expensive. Hope this helps. ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  5. Maria Bartiromo. She has those beautiful Sophia Loren overtones, could probably manage my money better than i could, has the most hypnotic eyes and at the age of 35, she's without a doubt in her prime . ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  6. Interesting read Mike. Thanx for posting....(note to self: If fishing with TrainerMike, let him borrow needed plugs) ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  7. They rank as the biggest liars of any country on the planet, while they are usually the ones holding the smoking gun. Sounds like our guy did the right thing in just walking out and not dignifying it any further by staing . As far as the Iraqi brass goes, it really cracks me up how they talk tough ,IE: "The mother of all battles ", ...and look at how good they aint doin....the proof is in the pudding. After all is done i think Sadaam should spend a few hours in a closed room with a nice conversationist like say Mike Tyson. It would do wonders to knock this sawed off lil pecker's ego down a few rungs, (not to mention trim his ears a bit) ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... 12. I know this has been hashed and re-hashed before here in other ways. I think that many of the protesters take it to another extreme and definitely push the limits, ie: flag burning, etc. And while we all enjoy freedom of speaking our minds, am i the alone in viewing certain actions as being taken too far? ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... 13. Whats your asking price?
  14. You hit it on the head Mike. The keyword here is "peaceful" and many of the protest rallys have been anything but peaceful. These people get arrested and just return to the same stomping grounds to pick up where they left off. Perhaps if the initial penalty for crossing the fine line were a bit stiffer it would be a better deterrent for the ones who get carried away. I dont have to get into how many of these people are there "because they are supporting their friends that are there" or for no other good reason than being in need of "belonging". In the latest protest here in Philly the radio interviews of some of the protesters ran the gamut from being funny to clueless to outright pathetic. I guess people see what they want to see....and then again, opinions are like noses. ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  15. You are right on the money Hatman, but it still urks me to hear the correspondents and field reporters quoting what the "next move" is going to be. Im sure a good percentage of the far east views these reportings as the truth and it then becomes food for the propaganda machine. And that aint ever a good thing. ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  16. Unfortunately its a media circus nowadays. Most of the footage thats been aired is absolutely horrible as far as the viewing quality and the reporters just keep regurgitating the same thing that the other reporters are saying. Kinda like a Hollywood production on a low-budget. ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  17. Are you offering this for sale here on SOL? ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ

  22. Hatman, that was beautiful ...Id say that he'd fit in perfectly with the crowd down at the Federal building in Philly. You Know, the ones that are camped out on the steps that said they'll stay there until the war is stopped. Im sure that crowd is just chock fulla soccer moms and yuppies in SUV's ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... 23. I think by now that everyone knows that Daeschle is a smacked arse Mike...BTW, i think the Erma Bombeck quote you use in your signature is outstanding. ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  24. Hope the tank is round in shape. I heard of a fellow that ended up with a buncha dead herring from a tank that was rectangular in shape. Evidently they swim in circles from what i was told and the square shaped tank had em all confused til they knocked themselves out . Dont know if this is true as i didnt see it in person. Maybe one of the resident live-liners will chime in and shed a bit of light here. ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
  25. Set your browser to accept cookies,(eat somethin, it'll make ya feel better) and if yer behind a firewall just loosen up the reigns a bit. I have to reset just about everything on ZoneAlarm Pro just to receive PM's. Aint no killer as this is probably one of the few websites that wont sell you down the road as far as any information collected. Right Tim? ------------------ Chas........SOL#241 Berkeley Striper Club.... Seaside,NJ
