  1. Does anyone know if Old Inlet in Long Island is navigable with an 18' boat?
  2. I have no reason to purposely destroy my Airwave as it does the job. However, I would be interested to know what rod you recommend.
  3. For sale I have my Star Paraflex Surf PFS1020S106 Spinning Rod. It is brand new, only used one time by me. I tried it out and it just wasn't for me. 10'6" 3/4 - 4oz lure weight Medium action 70/30 split and low profile guides. Very similar to the St. Croix Mojo, Has a lifetime warranty. Located in Bay Shore, NY Long Island $175
  4. Hello all. I have a 10' Tsunami airwave that I want to remove the butt from. I want to be able to use my rod balancer on it, but the Airwave has a very bulbous butt at the end of the rod. Any advice how to get this thing off without damaging the rod?

  6. I am very interested in this as well. Right now I am using a Spheros 6000SW and a Tsunami Airwave 10' MH 2-4oz. I can cast fairly well with the setup but once I start using lighter stuff in the 1oz range my distance suffers. I have been looking to get the Shimano Tiralejo 10'6" 1-3oz because most of my lures are in that weight class, not to mention the balance adjustment capabilities of the rod. Its a much more expensive rod than the one I am currently using and wonder if it will make that much of a difference in the 10' rod range.
  7. I used to launch my kayak from oak beach all the time. You shouldn't have a problem. Just plan for the tide. Paddling against the tide back to the launch site can be a real endurance test if your not up to the task. You can always rest in that pocket on the inside of the thumb.
  8. I always know I am doing something wrong when it comes to tide and weather when I get down to the parking lot with my boat and its empty. I go out anyway only to confirm my intuition....should have stayed home LOL Usually this is during wind against tide situations. I have a vacation stated for the second week in November so I can go fishing everyday. I hope that is a good time to take it.
  9. Wondering if anyone has seen the albies yet anywhere?
