What's being forgotten is almost all of these fish caught back in the earlier Big Fish Run era were caught on mono line . No PP or other super lines back then ... A common thing was to carry a spare spool for your reel as a back up if you lost a lot of line during your session, or re-spool... 15-20lb. mono was the common line of choice. To achieve any fish of trophy size , using strictly mono was an achievement in itself, taking into consideration the hazards to deal with...As for Bassdozer, ??? They are out there , they don't get big by being stupid. That's what brings me back, Fishing and wishing always, for B-DOZER a once in a life time fish ... A 20-30lb class fish is a trophy any-day of the week/year/season... IMHO... TW
