  1. Hope that's the back cause it'd be pretty kinky if you sit in it with the propeller between yr legs. Glad you stopped by. Maybe you could give us the code book for the main forum, lot of info there once I figure it out! Jim
  2. Joev Sounds like Arnie's into something in Milford. You talking abt RI ponds from that RT thread? I'm game but gonna pack waders where ever we go I think, getting some fishing in somewhere, might be last for a couple w/e for me. Been some talk that big bass are moving but always gotta be lucky, RI probably best crack within our range. I'm flexible. Maybe start at Milford and keep driving east until something happens. Jim
  3. Arnie, Thanks for the report. Just a thought from the peanut gallery, but do you really have to cast from a yak, can't you tie up a couple huge flies just for fun and just lower them in and troll around a little? So what if you don't qualify for the ngfa world record. Maybe run into you up there this w/e. Jim

  5. Joev Just watching, waiting to hear where the fish are going to be. Suppose if the weathers too crappy could throw chunks off a beach somewhere. With my boat I'm probably suited best to go out in the crap but least to actually fish in it. Jim
  6. Hi linney' Night was so nice, tide was good, couldn't help myself and went down to Penfield to meet El Skunko again. Think a dozen small bait went over the reef between my feet but other than college parties no other signs of life. Jim
  7. Welcome BigLuke, Try joev's idea and look through the past posts. I haven't done much outfitting the kayak yet. I 've been fishing mainly Bridgeport to Norwalk and it's been a lot slower than last year. Jim
  8. Joev Should get both w/e days anyway, for good behavior. Jim
  9. Joev Looking to get a lot of hours in this w/e, be shopping for a new alarm clock. Jim
  10. Bluff Point launch?
  11. ...and not getting better before the W/E, 25 knots 3 ft seas. Where is Pine Island? JIm
  12. Arnie Welcome and thanks for the report. Been waiting for the peanuts for weeks. Jim
  13. I was there (by accident of being too late to catch the crew) on Sat am well before park opened. Guard at the bridge was so accomodating after I told him I had a kayak that I thought he was going to carry it for me. Now I realize why he seemed all warmed up! Hope to hook up with all of you eventually. Jim
  14. DB, Thanks, I tried to build only when I couldn't fish. I was spinning w/e before last at Manhasset and went fishless in the middle of it, too. In fact the chunkers weren't catching anything around me, only the live liners. It seems that with so much bait around it can be tough to fool even choppers. I wish I had thought to try a large single hook for snagging as Jon does, I'm not picky, just not up to the logistics of too many hooks in one of those toothy buggers yet. Try again. Jim
  15. Yak- Welcome. I'm new here too, group seems to be exceptional, good advice and info. It's that time when everybody should be getting winterized. My usual haunts are between Black Rock and Norwalk. Guess I should find out where Jordan Cove is. Jim
