  1. I used to go to Slater's for breakfast or lunch & you would sometimes see slices of pork roll at the curb that someone had off loaded from their sandwich because it was too much. They definitely stack them high.
  2. You should have kept that pineapple in the water instead of dragging it up on the sand just to get a pic, you know...
  3. Marinas are required by dep to have dumpsters so the racks dont go in the water under stormwater pollution prevention plan. They have to certify annually . Widely ignored , probably rarely enforced
  4. A woman was killed by a piling in the nj surf years back. Getting between the beach & yr kayak can also be very dangerous in rough surf....always keep it in front or on the side when beaching & behind or side when launching
  5. Always use the string technique rather than the push thru & clip barb....ive used it at least 5 times overs the years & it works every time. Most of the time it comes out surprisingly easy & relatively painless. Fingers are tough skinned & you need to pull harder.
  6. Water looked flat & very fishy....the key word is looked. I fished 3 hrs till dark throwing ava 17 & bone spill minnow w a touch...
  7. It's fishable but I wouldn't take a long drive to fish it. Threw bucktail for an HR or so & decided to move. No one catching from what I've seen. Birds patrolling 1/2 mile off. I'd wait until tomorrow at least
  8. Somoco...last 1.5 he of incoming. Water looks great, small bait in wash, probably rainfish. 1 dink on shad. 1 fluke on so minnow. Heading back after a quick breakfsst
  9. Mc55 knows more than me but I'll tell you they're not going to be around long at all
  10. Sea Robin is right up there with sea bass & is better than fluke imo ....not that hard to fillet, you basically get only the top half of a typical fillet
  11. Somoco out back...8-10PM, drifting bait, 3 bass, 26,22, 18"
  12. Anybody try these down here? Very popular on the cape where they usually have the sand eels.
  13. How deep in the sand are the bugs typically found?
  14. Might go troll & fish under a bridge....
